Belvoir Leeds North West efficiently manage my canalside property in Bingley. They have done this for about 2 years, having previously marketed it for me. I asked them to undertake this because of 15 years very satisfactory experience with the same service provided for another property by another branch of Belvoir.

Generally a good agent, and on the whole staff seem professional and personable but the team is let down by a staff member who seems completely out of their depth. It makes it very hard work if you're having to deal with this person: for example calling us whilst we were on vacation asking 'where have you left the keys so we can do the inspection because today was your last day in the flat', he was a full month premature in asking us this, and claimed that 'no one has written the date you're moving on the file', when actually it was this very person who I was liaising with regarding our move... Something else that was slightly annoying was that the inventory done prior to our move in stated that a few bits and pieces needed doing (such as a completely broken toilet flush, and a new part needed for the boiler), and yet these weren't completed before we moved in and we had to request them to be fixed. Sarah, the office manager, is very efficient and we went to her if we had questions or needed anything done without hassle or misunderstanding. If the need arose, however, as a tenant I would possibly use them as an agent again.
Having booked a viewing of a flat with this company, we turned up to said viewing to find out it had been cancelled, completely unbeknownst to me. Not an email or a phone call. It wouldn’t have been such an issue had we not driven 4 hours from London especially to view a property with this agent. Beware of their communication and maybe, just maybe double check a viewing the day before if you do decide to use them. Beware of this letting agent, they ripped you off in the deposit. I was charged for a light bulb for £10 and, dust over the heater and in the washing machine room and some hair on the carpet for £36 ( two hours cleaning charge). Even though they said I have returned the apartment in good condition, they deducted a total of £46 from my deposit. They said they wanted to help their tenants to get 100% deposit back. That's a lie! They tried their best to take deposit from you and fined you for the smallest problems they could amplify.
Avoid at all costs. Fine at the beginning to take your money but reported a maintenance problem 3 times and wasn’t fixed by the time I moved out. Was charged £153 for cleaning when i left to wipe the kitchen cupboards and change to light bulbs. Avoid!
The staff was very good but the preparation of the apartment was very poor, which has to reflect on the company. Many areas were not clean and the shower head didn't work, flying off at the first attempt at a shower. Great introduction to my new home. The inventory was not correct in several areas, which is potentially very serious for the incoming tenant. Fancy repair reporting system online but in view of my concerns, felt the company should have talked to me about these issues. Also, I don't see why I have to go online to register a complaint or anything else. Being in the midst of moving is very stressful; a call from them would have been appreciated. Very poor customer service.
