Absolutely horrendous company. Avoid completely, if you want to be treat professionally, and not have your TIME and MONEY, taken from you, stay well away. I cannot stress enough the nightmare, stress and anxiety they just put me through and the lies is beyond comprehension.
If you detest treachery and care about your hard-earned money, avoid this agency. There is no limit to the lies that Northwood's agents tell and they steal without shame. In addition to wrongfully withholding our deposit when we moved out of a property, they fabricated evidence when we made an appeal. I have never been more shocked by anyone's lies in my life! As if that was not enough, they tried to make us pay the gas and electricity bill for a period after our stay had ended. If you insist on taking your chances, always be alert and collect evidence for EVERYTHING (including the pictures that they take as part of the initial inventory and take your own for comparison). But even then, that might not save you because, apparently, the deposit scheme they use does not seek to establish who is telling the truth in a dispute. So, as long as you have no control over the lies they tell, the fake invoices and pictures they generate, you can still lose a lot of money and precious time.
Complete rogues the lot of them ... rude and nasty con artists ripped me off £300! Dont bother dealing with them, very dodgy and unprofessional letting agents
Just had one of your agents try and let themselves into my house claiming they had organised a viewing. Neither myself nor my husband received any contact whatsoever from Northwood regarding a viewing nor had either of us granted the permission needed for anyone to access our house. When organising viewings, wouldn't you say that gaining the permission to legally access somebody's home should be pretty high up on your to do list? Also - just a suggestion - if I'm polite enough to let your agent show someone around my home after your spectacular blunder, perhaps it would have been polite of him to come and apologise to me afterwards instead of darting off down the street like a rat up a drainpipe. Classy. I do hope, despite my home not being quite as presentable as I'd have very much liked it to be for a viewing, that the nice folks that saw it today decide to take it. At least then we might not have to endure any more of your incompetence and can move out in peace. Anyway, thanks for scaring the living hell out of me and congrats on almost breaking the law. We'll be passing this on to our landlady - hopefully she can find herself a less sloppy agency next time!!
Everything seemed fine until I'd actually signed the papers, noticed the walls were damp, a lot of electrical problems, the radiators hadn't been bled so the house waa freezing, I was told there was a bees nest and it's now above my daughters window, they didn't say there was no ariel on the roof, electricsls are faulty, and the staff I complained to at the Lancaster branch were completely rude! I would never recommend this company to anyone!!!!! Oh I also missed out the fact a plug socket had a massive crack in it and the out a piece of tape over it, the labdlord then came and filled it with kitchen filler! It's all just quick jobs that they cluldbt be bothered doing!!!
