Sawyer & Co were part of the chain involved in our recent successful exchange of contracts. While they were actually employed by our buyer, not by us, they played an integral part in the success of the chain. Lee Cook in particular provided a level of service which was far over and above their contractual obligation by agreeing to communicate with us directly when issues were encountered with our buyer's sale. Lee provided a vital link between all parties at the bottom of our chain and pro-actively kept everyone informed with the state of affairs and any actions required. His professional, upfront and honest approach was very refreshing and meant that expectations throughout the chain were properly managed. Everyone else that I spoke to in the Hove office was very friendly and helpful and ensured that messages were always past on to Lee accurately and in a timely fashion. Based on my experience of the Hove office, I would have no hesitation in considering them to act on our behalf if we are ever crazy enough to move house again!
We’ve just moved down to Brighton from London, and bought our home through Sawyer & Co. They were great throughout, answered emails and phone-calls promptly, chased things up if there were any delays, were honest and upfront about the property including where there were problems, and overall really nice to work with. Lee Cook negotiated the sale, and after the exchange we met up with the previous owners and they too were very happy.
The whole team at the Portslade Office were fantastic. Our move was protracted and became fraught from time to time, but throughout Sawyers were always friendly, full of good advice and tireless in their efforts to make our move go smoothly. They have a real honesty and integrity in the way they work. Before we moved someone suggested to me that with everyone online these days you could buy and sell without paying an estate agent. I can tell you now that if we had taken that advice we wouldn't have secured our wonderful new home.
Looking for an estate agent to sell our property in Shoreham: after 4 appraisals which differed wildly (£270,000 difference!) shiny suits, insincerity, and a quite spectacularly unprofessional inter-agent slagging match we were in despair. We go to view a house that we like. Enter Lee from Hove Sawyer and co. He is polite, genuine, knowledgeable and likeable. He introduces us to Adam in the Portslade office who comes to do a valuation on our house. And here again Adam is genuine, straightforward, amiable. His valuation is reasonable, in the middle of the 4 other valuations. From start to finish both offices (lovely Dominique in Hove, James and Alex in Portslade) have been helpful and made the process as smooth as it can be. I would highly recommend Sawyer and co if you are selling or buying.
good experience, very helpful and accomodating team. Bob Beaken took charge of the purchase and helped move things along. had they not recommended a mond-blowingly poor online conveyancing firm to the buyer, which I refused to use, the process would have taken months less
Despite many twists and turns and unexpected hold ups Sawyer and Co kept me informed on the sale and meant I knew what was going on.
I dealt with Bob Beakin in the Hove office and found him to be extremely helpful and proactive. This was not always the case with other members of the Sawyers team. Bob was a beacon of excellence in a sea of mediocrity!
Dear Jess, You could not be faulted! Which is more than can be said for that dreadful company Goodlord that Sawyer &Co uses for referencing. What an incomprehensible data setup. You were so prompt and informative with your replies to my queries that I felt quite supported. Goodwood on the other hand was a nightmare to contend with. Best wishes Sue
They conducted a successful tenant find during the low point of the year. Also Danica was diligent and helpful with various unexpected bumps along the way.
