Breckon & Breckon were the agents for the vendor whom my wife and I bought our first property from. Whilst many aspects of the sale and transaction thereafter were superb - really thorough and professional - at times Breckon & Breckon seemed to forget what it is like to be first-time buyers. Sometimes a little more empathy and understanding would have helped, especially when the lines of, 'Well, as you know,' were uttered when it was very clear that we did not know, because we were first-time buyers. However, having said this, at other times things were very smooth and worked very well. Also, the complications of new-build developers were not really eased as they could have been but things worked out in the end. Very good, but certainly not perfect in the eyes of two first-time buyers who bought at the height of market's meteoric rise for 2020-22.

We were buyers. The agent didn't have to do much selling - we liked the house. But he was very accommodating with the many visits we requested after putting in our offer, and with the various delays in reaching exchange. Definitely professional and responsive.

I could never envisage giving any estate agency a 5 star review, as I don't agree with the amount of money that they take, relative to the amount of work they do; and I am always amazed by just how little they bother to educate themselves on the facts to do with any particular property. All that said, Ross who I predominantly dealt with on this occasion, was a breath of fresh air where estate agents are concerned. I found him to be straight talking, something I value highly; and patient with me over a number of issues that I went over with him. Would I use them again, and would I recommend them? Yes and yes.
