A professional, no-nonsense service

Matthew was helpful in all respects and made himself available to accommodate our busy schedules. We appreciated his honest and non-pushy approach which made us feel comfortable during our viewing.

Excellent Service

Having never actually sold a property before we found the help and guidance offered by Matthew at Breckon and Breckon was extremely useful and informative along every step of the process. It made the whole experience a lot less difficult that we had expected.

If you have a property to rent go ahead but if you are a tenant, I kindly advise you to think twice. We haven't had any response for putting an extra appliance (which is at our expense) in the kitchen for more than 6 months. It took 1 month to get my deposit back (despite the property was better than the beginning of tenancy) I am waiting for some mails to arrive -which an agent told me that they have already been "forwarded"- for 3 months. No exact response and action for that. Disappointing. Edit: deposit return time editted.NegativeResponsiveness

Sorry to receive your review Kamil. I am sorry there was an issue with an extra appliance during your tenancy, this delay will be reviewed further with our property management team. Your check out was completed on 4th January, agreed on 27th January and the deposit was returned on 4th February. I am sorry this was not a quicker turnaround, but sometimes with dilapidations we need to review these between yourself and your landlord which often takes some time. We have asked the current tenant to pass on any post that they receive and we will of course forward onto you directly. Really disappointed with this estate agent. I heard good reviews about this place but I had a very bad experience. I had booked a virtual viewing where I was promised a video would be sent to me but I ended up being ghosted and no follow up. On another occasion, I was being offered a flat where it was agreed it would be held for me, however I was then informed by email that it had been offered to someone else. They are so unprofessional. They don’t communicate. Please avoid Breckon & Breckon, you will have better luck elsewhere.

My review was apparently removed despite me being a Breckon customer for over two years, so I am posting it again: Overall I was expecting Breckon to be a step up from other property agents I have dealt with in Headington, but I have been very disappointed. The premium image and prices they charge are not backed up by the quality of service. As an estate agent the communication is almost non-existent, I get automated messages about viewings being arranged at my property but I never get any feedback afterwards, unless I chase them. As for their performance as a letting agent, I thought it was standard practice for agents to arrange multiple quotations when work needs doing. However, I only ever receive a single quote (unless I ask them to get more), and inevitably the quoted figure is crazily inflated (they spent £79.20 getting a few keys cut without my knowledge, for example). Breckon also told my tenants that they could replace a hob that had been damaged without consulting me, which I found baffling. Breckon told me: "We are a much better & proactive than Andrews and will certainly perform better, hence why our fees are higher." Proactive they are not, and at least I heard back about viewings from Andrews, useless as they otherwise were.

My partner and I were really dissapointed by the service by Breakon&Breakon. We were promised we could rent a property following a viewing and were told we would receive the link to pay the deposit, but this wasn't received by Anabelle. Although she went on holiday, we spoke to Paige several times to pay the deposit several times, and she just referred us to the property owner without checking who I was or anything. The property owner didnt know who we were either, as apparently no one had told them. After one week of back and forth, they told us they gave the property we had been waiting for a few months for, to someone else, without even an apology. What really takes the cake is, the next day they sent us an email asking if it was OK to remove us from the system if we've found a place. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone after that!

They didn’t even bother to tell us that the viewing is cancelled! Unreachable on phone while we were waiting outside in this freezing cold weather. What a waste of our time!
