If I could give zero stars I would. All of the service received throughout the tenancy was fine. However as the tenancy came to an end (due to the cost of living being too high) I was treated horribly. I received an email from one of the agents in an awful and condescending tone and was discriminated against due to my physical limitations due to my disability which they were aware of throughout the tenancy. Viewings were held prior to a professional clean (which I had asked the agent to organise as this was easier for me and this was fine) and then I received an email regarding the “unacceptable” state the flat was in; this included photos of marks on the wall that were there prior to us moving in, the apparently stained carpet in the bedroom when in reality it was a cheap CREAM carpet which had been walked on every single day for 3 and a half years and through lockdown where we didn’t leave the flat for the best part of 2 years, so of course this is going to be worn down (they also said that a carpet should last 7 years, perhaps it would last 7 years if it hadn’t been cheap and light coloured) and photos of various places that hadn’t been cleaned even though I had arranged for them to organise the professional clean and was more than happy to pay for a deep clean. Myself and my partner were in my personal opinion good tenants and all this company care about is finding ways to avoid returning your deposit to you.
Spoke to many letting agents over past few weeks. Unfortunately Northwood are not the best. They are a nightmare to get hold off, worse at phoning you back and wasted my afternoon dealing with these amateurs. If you have a property to let I'd strong advise going somewhere more reputable. My partner and I found these guys embarrassing to deal with.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
They let me a property that was currently in the process of being repossessed because the landlord was not paying her mortgage and then try to get me to stay while they battle it in the courts. They will give the key to your property to a contractor without telling you, who will then enter your property while you are asleep instead of arriving at the agreed time because he, and I quote “Thought I’d chance it”. But Northwood said he was a friend so it’s okay right? Avoid this letting agency like covid 19.
Avoid Northwood letting company. They charged me £240 for a deep clean even though I had clearly done it myself (see photos) When we moved into the flat they had left soiled bedsheets on the beds and various disgusting stains all over the flat walls. Avoid these cowboys!NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value
Terrible letting agent. They Will try anything to avoid paying what is owed. Awful communication and completely unprofessional.
Horrifying service. Do not rent from these people. Do not know how they sleep at night.
After booking a train through to Glasgow for a viewing, upon calling the letting agent whilst on my journey through, I am advised the property is no longer available and they'll no longer be able to do the viewing... It would have nice to be informed about this before I'd wasted my time and money.
Avoid, they will try and charge illegal non-refundable holding deposit and possibly other fees which are not lawful in Scotland. When challenged on the phone they promptly hung up
Racist people , they made up policies to deliver their discrimination behavior ,they said sorry after filling bunch amount of forms and agreement when I came to the office for payment they mentioned something don't exist in their website , so the only explanation is racism because that apology wasn't reasonable at all , I'm not going to let it go , I promise to deliver this behavior to the cabinet secretary in Scot Gov, Horrible with unqualified staff , this is the 1st disappointment I've ever seen since I moved to Glasgow,
