If I could give 1 star I would. Absolutely disgraceful estate agents. My mom and her partner moved from their property in Pelsall back in March. My mom forgot to cancel her direct debit payment properly and Goodchilds took out 2 full months rent. My mom notified them about the first payment and has sent multiple emails since. She has had no contact from the manager. I think we are looking at going to the Ombudsman or even taking legal action because it is not acceptable. Over £1k in payments and not heard a word!

This estate agent is an absolute disgrace: zero integrity and they just lie, lie and lie some more - especially Rebecca the lettings manager. Rang them to ask for a viewing of a rental property the moment a suitable rental property in Aldridge came onto their books. Was told the property "wasn't available for viewings at the moment but I will contact you as soon as it does become available". About a week went by and I emailed Rebecca several times and each time the same answer - not available for viewings. The next thing is the property is removed from their books. I was in the area and called in to enquire about the property only to be told the property has been let (probably to one of their mates?!). I was in a very strong position to rent as we have an excellent credit score and I would have been more than happy to pay 6 or 12 months rent upfront as we are in a position to do that having just sold our house, but they couldn't even be bothered to show us the property and give us a fair chance. My advice re this estate agent is avoid, avoid, avoid at all costs. I have sold and bought several houses in the past and this is the worst estate agent I have ever come across. Go to Paul Carr or one of the other estate agents in Brown hills High Street if you want a decent estate agent!

Hello Mr Du Plessis I do understand your frustration that you missed out on a property you expressed interest in. It was explained to you that we had a lot of enquiries on the property and ultimately can only let the property to one application, in this instance that was not yourself. We offered to keep you informed of any similar properties that come available. I'm sure you can appreciate that we have still offered to help. Worst agency ever deal with, said they can’t rent the property just the day before we need to move in. Done all the paperwork, gave them whatever they asked for but at the last moment they rang and told they can’t rent because of silly things. Now I’m on the middle of road nowhere to go struggling to find somewhere to live. Really really upset with the service. Never Ever go back to goodchild again. I had seen a lots of reviews same as mine..gave everything the asked for and rejected at last moment. Not good at all.

This esate agent very rude and obnoxious people and arrangant behaviour towards thier customers just asked about a property to let and they make you feel like your 500000 property wudnt recommned this estate agent to anyone as there is also an hint of racism there

Goodchilds have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination of any kind, i am Asian myself and i would not tolerate this in any form.

Worst experience I ever had with estate agency.Poor comunication. Put deposit down for house and passed credit checks, employer confirmed my referrence,give them payslips and settlement status number, brought my tenants liability insurance.Had a guarantor, and still been rejected

Poor communication skills, goodchilds don’t care. I accepted not getting my deposit back so I didn’t have to deal with them again after all the lies that the staff were saying. Fences were broken for 18 months the fire was broken the cooker was broken. The shower was broken and so was the floor panels and the heating. I would not recommend
