We went to JLL after being recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. We found a great flat in the location we wanted and within the limit of our budget. The agents were kind to guide us through every step of the referencing and renting process, which is a bit tedious in terms of bureaucratic paperwork load. Everybody was very professional and we moved in in a flash.
One of the better letting agents I have done business with, very fast and mostly painless process. The agent I dealt with was really helpful and checked in regularly during the referencing to make sure everything was fine. Another big positive was that almost all of the process happened electronically, something which not all letting agents can do. Their fee schedule is probably pretty standard but I did find the £180 in the tenancy agreement to re-sign the contract a bit steep.
Great people to work with and can definitely recommend them. Only slight thing to look out for is that they requesting the entire letting fee upfront which came as a bit of surprise.
I now remembered I forgot to update my remark of JLL. After my negative remark, JLL property manager did her best to fix all the issues I had. Therefore, I will give you a 3* rating as an average of 1* and 5*.
JLL managed a property we rented at the River Gardens for a year. By far the most dishonest agents we encountered in over 10+ years of renting in London. ❌ Took forever to sort out issues we raised on moving in. ❌ Three months before the end of tenancy they started hounding us to accept a £300pcm rent increase (What for? The luxury of being imprisoned in a flat for a year once cladding replacement works start in March '23? 😂) ❌ At the end of tenancy they held back our security deposit for a month for no valid reason. When we finally raised a dispute with TDS, JLL had the audacity to accuse us of damage which was already highlighted in the check-in report 🤦 TDS ripped through their bogus claims and ruled in our favour of course. If you're a renter who doesn't want to experience a circus, avoid these clowns.
