Mike Marsh - the man who made it all possible!

Having just gone through the most acrimonious divorce, I was absolutely dreading finding and purchasing a new home for myself and my youngest son. I needn't have worried. though, Charters in Alton found me a lovely property very quickly and Mike negotiated the purchase with no stress to myself at all. Understandably, somewhat nervous after everything I had gone through, I needed all the hand-holding I could get.. Mike and Sarah certainly provided plenty of support and guidance throughout the process and helped to keep my stress levels to a minimum. From the point that I made my initial offer to the point of exchange Mike kept me well informed and ensured that my solicitor was kept up to speed with everything. His friendly manner was very reassuring especially at the end when I was so worried that I would miss my deadline. I am due to move into my new home in Alton in 4 weeks' time and am both nervous and excited. Without Mike's expertise and kindness the final steps to my new life could have been an absolute nightmare. I owe Mike and his team at Charters a massive thank you and I would thoroughly recommend them. Annie

Top Negiotator

Mike Marsh or "Jerry Maguire" as I call him, is by far a top negotiator. We managed to have our offer accepted on our new home within less than 24 hours of first show round. This is down to Mike's professional and efficient negotiating skills. He seriously knows his craft and his friendly and knowledgeable manner, to even resolve a situation on his day off shows his professional and efficient approach to purchasing a house. The speed in which things have progressed with our purchase is very fast, and a lot of people say that moving house is incredibly stressful however I can honestly say that Charters took a lot of the stress out of the move. I would have no problem in recommending Mike to anyone wishing to purchase a property in Hampshire.

Fantastic Agent

From the first time of meeting Sarah at our first show round of our dream home till the point of exchange, she has been the most professional, and efficient agent one could wish for. Her friendly and polite manner on the phone is a welcome voice to sort out any situations. I would have no problem in recommending her to anyone wishing to purchase property in Hampshire.

Good communication

The purchase was very long and protracted due to issues at at the top of the chain. As purchasers we were technically not Charters client, but Mike was in constant contact helping us to finally exchange contracts after 6 attempts (on one occasion responding whilst on holiday!). I'm fairly confident that had Mike not been involved the chain would have collapsed.

Excellent remortgaging experience

Marion helped us when we decided to re-mortgage our property. She found us a competitive deal and handled the whole process in a friendly and efficient manner. She kept us well informed at all times and we will certainly be recommending her to others. The whole experience was quick, easy and pain free which is not always the case. Thanks to Marion we now have a great mortgage deal for the next few years and if we need another mortgage we will certainly return.

Great service and top class interaction

I changed to Charters after an unsatisfactory experience with another agent. I am delighted with the way Jonathan and the team in the Alton office have dealt with the whole process from marketing , through viewings to dealing with the offers. They found me a qualified buyer in a short space of time . I am really pleased with the outcome and recommend them highly. Well done on a great service.

Great Service

They say moving home is one of the most stressful life events one can embark on and that was definitely our experience. Fortunately, for us we had Mike Marsh supporting us throughout the process. He called us pro-actively and regularly with updates and the service from Charters in general and from Mike in particular far exceeded our expectations. Based on our experiences, we would have no hesitation in recommending Charters to others and if we were ever thinking of moving again, Charters would be the first and probably only agents we would call.

The whole selling experience was a nightmare, from start to finish, not due to Mike Marsh or Charters, but down to the way Solicitors delay the legal process to suit their own work load..In my experience Solicitors take on too much work to maximise their income , knowing full well that they do not have the time to do all the legal process in the time allotted. So then starts the delaying tactics, which drives the client and the estate agent up the wall. All it would take is for the Solicitor to be honest from the start, with how long it will take to complete, and to be honest with the updates ,not as happened with us, not returning calls, giving limited answers, and blaming the other solicitor down the chain. Mike to his credit held the chain together in the face of true provocation from our buyer, he should get a medal for good humour and patience, along with Jonathan Pinhorn, they make a good team. A true professional.,they are few and far between these days.
