I dealt with Joe recently as a tenant. Joe was very professional and made the process a lot simpler. I would highly recommend Joe.
My experience with this agency has been terrible so far. Before moving in, the inventory made after the end of the previous tenancy highlighted some things that needed to be fixed. Now, after 9 months, I'm still waiting for my bed to be replaced. We agreed on paying a fee that should cover the heat bill, with a review due after 6 months. Again, still waiting for it. So far, it hasn't been a pleasant experience.
Very bad property management service. I had to wait really long for the agent to resolve very simple issues during my tenancy and at check-out. I had to wait an entire month for them to refund my deposit after I moved out. This is really unacceptable. LIFE Residential was the worst real estate experience of my life.
The fees they charge do not match the quality of service, and their contracts are carefully crafted to make you pay... more. They also were dishonest about the new constructions in progress in the area that ended up completely hiding the sun from our flat. Oh, and they are not very data privacy aware either: At least one of their associates imported her email address book into LinkedIn. She was suggested to me although I don't know her and the only link between us (I am a foreigner) was the email address I used with Life. Will never work with them again.
He is just so bad, don't wish anyone to have him as property manager
Our agent for our property at Drayton park is dreadful to work with. He often ignores emails for information until we email multiple times asking for updates on repairs. We have had issues with a repair in our flat that has been ongoing for nearly one year. He refuses to organize a call and will not call us back when requested. I'm shocked at the level of service that we have received. Would not recommend this agent or Life from the experience I have had thus far. However, this is a review about one of their agents that we have dealt with.
"Not even sure where to begin here, but it all went badly from early one and just got worse. It's not office specific. Most of the time we had no idea who or which office they were contacting us from. No consistency in who you deal with, there's someone different for everything. Terribly slow and unhelpful when you raise a complaint and frequently our complaints were ignored. Very slow at getting things fixed and we had multiple issues which made the experience far more unpleasant. Hassled us for same days viewings and let themselves in without ringing the doorbell. Life Residential also had our utility and council tax bills closed a month before we moved out which has caused us a great deal of grief and refuse to acknowledge or assist with this.. The irony is we can't get out deposit back until we pay the final bills, which Life Residential have prevented us from doing.. We have also just had our final check out summary. They are trying to charge us over £80 for 2 lightbulbs ( even though not all were working when we moved in and we left all of our spares at the property as a courtesy) They have also tried to charge us £80 in compensation for damage that existed prior to our tenancy and is also arguably wear and tear. Both of which are grossly inflated prices and unjustifiable, even if they had been our fault ( which they were not) I would never recommend this agency to my worst enemy. No one deserves to endure what we did and I really don't have anything positive to say about their service. I wish I had paid a bit more attention to the reviews before I moved in. It would have saved me a lot of stress and unnecessary cost"
We rented a property with Life residential 6 months ago. The place was dirty. Fridge was frosty, bedroom dusty, oven greasy. We had to ask the owner to arrange a cleaning for all this, which he accepted. The best part comes when we moved out. They did not have a copy of keys to enter the property, so they were relying on us all the time to show the apartment, disturbing us during working hours. We arranged professional cleaning for same day of checkout. The guy from checkout said is all good, no major details to report. Few days later Life residential tells us there are few dilapidations, like scratches in walls and in the small table, so we owe total of 60 pounds. Really? We paid since we didn't want to discuss for 60 pounds, but it felt deeply miserable ask 15 pounds for a scratch when the property was scratched here and there or the painting was collapsing from some areas. Not to mention the checkout report costed us 138 GBP! Avoid if possible, they're useless and pathetic in all possible ways.
I have never dealt with a worse estate agent in all my life! Everything was fine up until I paid the deposit and received the keys. The apartment had many problems which were supposed to be resolved but 2 months later some of these have not been done. Nobody responds to emails or calls to help me out and if I was not already locked in to this tenancy I would leave immediately and would never rent through this agency again.
