Overall staff helped and guided us through in spite of several setbacks beyond everyone's control. One small comment about the photography for the brochure, we weren't particularly impressed by the independent photographer used.
Jenny has been very helpful and our main contact.Its starting to frustrate us now as we are chasing daily window keys to stop our daughter falling out and also paint to touch up our walls,but I'm gussing it's the builders not supplying these items.It may seem small to some people but it's playing our minds.
Agent initial viewing of my property seemed to be enthusiastic stating great promise on customer interest & viewings, in reality this was a total pipe dream & completely false . The facts are as follows; I provided excellent photos, utility bills, epc certificate, all necessary info Agent stated they had free ad space in midlands publication that had wide circulation, publication was totally unknown. to me & other residents of my Cotswolds area. I received property brochure txt which I amended After some weeks found the property on right move But it lacked essential pics of kitchen that is a Must to any prospective buyer. I asked them to add this element Had one viewing in the early days of it going live ...... but since that ONE & ONLY VIEWING no feedback received. Since then I heard from no one as to what was happening or how it was being prompted I have NEVER RECEIVED the property brochure, have never had proof of the copy to sigh of Was sent the brochure it appeared in (no one in my area had ever heard of this publication) & to my absolute dismay found this publication to be totally unsuitable sales property medium. Instead it will be found in doc surgerys or similar place Never received feedback of any sort as to what how when or who wS promoting the property In the end I cancelled agents due to there total lack of professionalism & feedback to the client
Started well with valuation and putting together brochure. Let down by many cancellations and one no show. Vetting of clients must be looked at. Feedback was poor. General contact and suggestions for improving/updating sales details was poor. Overall very disappointing.
No check in offered, had to fetch keys myself, incomplete set of keys provided, oven and shower filthy, no lighting in bathroom (transformer faulty, but told to bring my own lightbulbs!), shower leaking into kitchen, gas fire not working, boiler faulty. Little urgency from agent in fixing faults, and refusal to acknowledge any responsibility despite issues being noted on the inventory taken prior to the tenancy.
They agreed as part of the purchase agreement to provide drawings against the planning permission, by obtaining these from the Vendor. Stating this would not be an issue. Chasing this on numerous occasions over several months, the drawings were never provided, even though promised every time they were chased. The result of this causing us delays & additional costs in trying to get around the problem this created, when attempting to start the building works against the planning permission (with no full technical drawings provided as promised).
After deciding to move away from my bristol to what I thought would be a happy life in the Cotswolds with my young daughter , I am currently forced to live in a b&b after completing on a property this Monday through andrew grant. I've been greeted with no hot water or heating and now found out today that I have a completely condemed boiler and an unsafe environment for my daughter . An error message was pointed out to TWO andrew grant employees verbally and on e mail prior to completing and asked them to get it looked at . This was never done and they are now trying to not take any responsibility for this huge lack of professionalism and potential risk I've placed my family in . This dream move is now a nightmare and I cannot believe ethically accompany of this size will not rectify their mistakes . Certainly not a company I would recommend . In my many many years of purchasing , this has got to be the worst experience I've ever had .
An excellent example of good old fashioned slimy estate agents, thankfully a dying breed now. Push their 'modern auction', which is actually just a way of tripling their fees. One particular agent lied to the vendor's solicitor, saying I had pulled out of a purchase when in fact I had refused to accept their change of sale type and demand of £5000 to proceed. I asked twice on the phone what this payment was, and he pretended not to know. Claimed that the massively increased agent's fee hadn't affected his advice to the vendor. Needless to say, their completion was held up as their next buyer took much longer than we did to exchange contracts, and I bet they didn't pay as much either! Only winners were Andrew Grant. Go elsewhere if you want an honest agent. I would expect the same empty response as you've put on my Google review; you can ask the vendor's solicitor why they told my solicitor they thought I'd pulled out, and then ask Duncan Saunders why he has failed to respond to my request for him to deny that he said this. I find it hard to see sincerity in your offer to discuss, as you have my contact details. You obviously don't intend to do anything about this, just weak public platitudes in response to a negative review.
