Tried to rent several flats through them / arrange viewings. Susan stopped responding to my partners attempts at communication - via phone, email and even in-store. I assume we weren't the right type of clientele - but they didn’t need to be so rude. Maybe they're a 5-star company, we just didn’t experience it.

Very disappointed and mistreated by the lettings agent Susan Called for a property and when I said I have a small dog she invented some lease excuse that might not allow dogs (obviously a obnoxious excuse used given that now they cannot ban dogs) and said she will call me back after 2 days I called back to chase an answer regarding the property in question and a colleague of hers said she will call me back and if course nothing not even a call back Despicable agency in my opinion People with dogs and not English are not good enough for you
am writing this review as the mother of a former tenant, and I personally witnessed the poor condition in which the flat was handed over to my daughter. During her tenancy, she was also left without heating. After three years, when she moved out, the agency tried to deduct money from her deposit for decorating, even though no pictures or other items had been hung on the walls during her tenancy. The walls already had marks and had not been freshly painted when the flat was handed over to her. They also wanted to charge her for cleaning, despite the flat having been cleaned before she left. I find this treatment extremely unfair and unprofessional. Based on what I personally witnessed, I am very disappointed with the way this agency treated my daughter as a tenant. I would advise others to document the condition of the property carefully before moving in and to keep evidence when moving out.
I have been living in England for 15 years and have rented several flats during that time, but I have never experienced anything like the problems I have had with this agency I rented this flat three years ago, and from the beginning it was handed over to me with numerous issues . The property is 19 years old had not been freshly painted, had several marks , the kitchen was damaged, there was a leak under the sink, the shower door was broken, and there were many other problem I had to contact the agency several times, and workers were regularly coming to the property, sometimes every Saturday and even in the evenings, to deal with ongoing issues I was exhausted with no privacy . On top of my rent, I was also paying £90 per month for heating and hot water .. Despite this, I experienced several problems with the hot water and, at times, I had no heating at all but as I was at home just in the late evening and leaving at 6 am I could survive . I repeatedly asked for these issues to be fixed, and heating was never resolved . Thankfully, I have documentation and records of these requests. Throughout my tenancy, I always kept the flat clean and looked after it carefully l I never even wore shoes inside the property. I always paid rent 8 days in advance. When I gave notice and moved out, the checkout representative came to the property, collected the keys and told me that I could leave. My mistake was that I should have stayed and no trust these people .The flat had also been cleared by a cleaner . I was therefore shocked when I later contacted Mr Ketz , as he disappeared , regarding my deposit and received a report claiming that the flat had been left “deeply dirty” The report also included charges for marks on the walls that were already there when I moved in, lights that had never worked, and sign in the carpet caused by furniture that had been in place for three years. I find this extremely unfair . Normal wear and tear after living in a property for three years should surely be taken into consideration, and consider the issues mentioned were either pre existing or related to normal use of the property . I am very disappointed by the way this situation has been handled and by what I consider to be a lack of honesty by these people. I am Shock. I have been asked to pay £410, which I will dispute through the appropriate deposit dispute process. I will also raise the separate issue regarding the heating through the appropriate channel, as I have evidence documenting my requests and the problems I experienced. Based on my experience, I would advise other tenants to be extremely careful and to keep detailed records, photographs and written communication throughout their tenancy. I have also seen other reviews from tenants raising concerns about difficulties getting their deposits back. . As for me, I will continue to pursue this matter through the proper channels . I would recommend tenants do their research carefully and consider other agencies before signing a tenancy with this agency . Watford has plenty of professionals agency ! Please check what other negative comment and websites say... All people wothb the same issue with deposit!!!! Good reviews can be added bad reviews are always real!
Under the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Citizens Advice guidance, refusing tenants simply because they have children may amount to indirect discrimination, especially against women, because women are statistically more likely to be primary carers. Blanket policies like “No children” can therefore be legally risky for landlords. However, landlords may still refuse an application for other lawful reasons, such as: • The property is genuinely too small for the household under overcrowding rules. • Affordability concerns. • Bad references or credit history. • The building is unsuitable or unsafe for children. If the only reason is “you have two children,” you can: • Ask the landlord or agent to explain the reason in writing. • Challenge the decision through the letting agent’s complaints process. • Get advice from Citizens Advice or Shelter UK. Also, landlords are generally not allowed to advertise blanket bans like “No DSS” or “No children” without justification, as courts have found some of these practices discriminatory.
Renter struggle when dealing with DKH, if any appliances fail during the tenancy.. the agent will push you to own the expense end to end and dkh will make sure that the landlord never claims the house insurance which should happen ideally, It was a very painful experience, typical cheap landlord mentality, and at the end of tenancy.. agent will make sure you end up paying atleast £1000 from your deposit through random claims…,
***Hell for renters but heaven for Landlords**** If you are renting through DKH then be ready to deal with a very cheap landlord type mentality… At the end of tenancy, you will feel like FBI has scanned the property and 100s of photos with even a 1mm mark or chip will be shared and an insane amount (minimum £1000) will be deducted from your deposit. I spoke with my friends/colleagues who rented through DKH and it’s a cumulative feedback!! Terrible people to deal with, beware of renting from DKH. Adding the true experience review in my attachment so that a clear picture can be seen!!
I went to view a rental property with DKH and had a very poor experience. We called and messaged an hour before the appointment to let them know we would be five minutes late. When I arrived, my wife was another five minutes behind, and the …
Our experience renting through Dey King and Haria was unfortunately disappointing, particularly in terms of communication, responsiveness, and how they handled our deposit at the end of our tenancy. …
