Not a great agency, all for landlords, I won't comment any further about this.

Reply from EweMove Swindon: We’re sorry that you feel this way. At the end of every tenancy, an independent inspection company carries out a detailed check-out report, recording the condition of the property and highlighting any cleaning or repairs that may be required. This is compared with the original check-in report, which was also completed independently. We provide these reports, together with any relevant quotations, to the landlord. It is then the landlord’s decision whether to submit a claim against the deposit. In this instance, the landlord chose to make a claim relating to cleaning. The claim has been submitted through the Deposit Protection Service (DPS), and you are entitled to dispute it. The DPS will independently assess the evidence from both parties and make an impartial, fact-based decision. We appreciate that deposit disputes can be frustrating; however, we have followed the standard end-of-tenancy process and acted upon the landlord’s instructions. For this reason, we do not feel this review fairly reflects the role we have played in the matter. You will appreciate that this is now an ongoing case and we hope that DPS resolution reach a fair outcome to both parties.

I would not recommend renting through EweMove based on my experience. I rented a property managed by them for around 18 months, and throughout the tenancy, communication was consistently poor. Repairs that were reported either took an unreasonable amount of time to address or were not completed at all, despite being raised repeatedly. The information I was given before moving into the property turned out to be inaccurate, which left me feeling misled from the very beginning. General maintenance of the property was also lacking, and it often felt like issues were simply ignored rather than managed properly. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect was the apparent lack of communication between EweMove and the landlord. It gave the impression that concerns were not being passed on effectively, leaving problems unresolved and tenants stuck in the middle. Renting a home should come with a reasonable expectation that maintenance issues are dealt with promptly and that communication is honest and professional. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with EweMove, and I would think very carefully before using them again.

Reply from EweMove Swindon: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear about your experience and completely understand your frustration. The level of communication and service you describe is not what any tenant should expect. We would just like to clarify that the property you rented was managed by our EweMove Trowbridge branch rather than our office. However, we recognise that, as part of the EweMove network, this distinction may not have been been clear to you, and we sincerely apologise for the experience you've had. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to light and will ensure your feedback is passed on to the appropriate branch. We genuinely hope your experience with renting in the future is a much more positive one.

Really disappointing service - poor communication, misleading information and hidden fees. This led to losing money and no completion of the house purchase.

Reply from EweMove Swindon: Hi Caroline, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. I’m truly sorry to hear that you feel communication wasn’t as strong as you’d hoped. I do want to reassure you that from the very beginning I explained that the sellers needed to find a property before they could move, and I kept you updated throughout their search as information became available. Unfortunately, the property they hoped to buy was found to have structural issues during their survey, leaving them unable to proceed. I passed this on to you as soon as I was informed. They are still very much wanting to move, but at the moment there is nothing suitable on the market for their needs. As they are both elderly and have health concerns, it wouldn’t be fair or appropriate to ask them to vacate their home to break the chain. I also wanted to gently clarify your concern about hidden fees. As an independent company, we carry out our own Anti–Money Laundering checks, which are a legal requirement for every estate agent. These checks ensure compliance and protect all parties involved in the transaction. Even though these are legitimate, mandatory costs, I agreed to waive these fees for you as a gesture of goodwill, and no charges were applied. We bore the cost of these checks ourselves. I completely understand how disappointing and frustrating situations like this can be, and I wish the circumstances could have been different. Some factors are sadly outside of our control, despite everyone’s best efforts. I truly wish you all the very best in finding a wonderful new home, and thank you again for your understanding. Jo

I have called Lisa so many times to try to set up viewing at a property we absolutely love, but have been unable yo do so. She never answers her phone always goes through to head office. Even then she will responds many hours later or next day. Then has no time available. When we finally got through and set up a viewing she failed to confirm it by text or email. As we were coming from Buckinghamshire we couldn't risk travelling all that way on a whim. Tried 6 six times today alone she never answered her phone. We will travel to Whaplode in the next day or so and tell the vendors of our difficulties in viewing their house, perhaps they can get out of paying the total fee. We would certainly help if they requested evidence.

Reply from EweMove Swindon: Thank you for letting us know your thoughts Russell, it’s really important to us that our customers are delighted by our service and it’s disappointing that you haven’t felt that way. We’re so pleased that since you posted, you have viewed the property and Lisa enjoyed showing you around. As discussed once you can provide us with details of the calls that you made that didn’t reach us we will be able to investigate further what went wrong here. Just to confirm you can send those call details to us at Spalding@ewemove.com anytime. It was unfortunate you had to reschedule a few times and we hope you are feeling better now! Best wishes

Me and my fiancé were trying to view a house on Cloudberry Road with a member of staff called Dan. He is useless, incompetent and straight up rude + passive aggressive. They told my fiancé they do not have any properties on Cloudberry road so I have attached photos of 2 listings they have ON CLOUDBERRY ROAD. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

I had the misfortune of selling my home with Ewemove. Poor advice from Ewemove led to a 9 month saga, with extraordinary stress, and appalling communication. Expensive and untrustworthy.

About EweMove Swindon

EweMove Swindon office

Hi there! Thank you for visiting our website. I am Jo Moss, your local Branch Director of EweMove Swindon. I have lived in and around Swindon for many years, currently living locally in South Cerney with my husband, two children, vocal Bengal cat and crazy Labrador! Having worked for a corporate company for 20 years in various customer service roles, I decided it was time for me to look for a new venture in life. Having always had a passion and interest in property from buying my first home at just 21 years old and moving several times over the years I felt that many Estate Agents were missing something very important - how to look after their customer. In 2019, I decided to take a leap of faith and set up EweMove Estate Agents in Swindon. Together with my good friend and colleague Alex, EweMove Cirencester we have grown EweMove Swindon into a successful business, helping people to sell and buy houses in Swindon and surrounding villages. Putting our customers at the forefront of our business we pride ourselves on our personal touch. Always on hand to offer advice and support throughout the transaction, from your very first phone call to the day we personally meet our buyers to hand over the keys on completion day. I love my job. Being an Estate Agent is not just about selling houses (which we do - very successfully), but about the journey we go through with all of our vendors and our buyers, many of whom have become personal friends. We really do go through the emotions with you- why? Because we care so much!
