On the pros side I needed to move in quickly and get somethings issues in the property fixed, which was all done very quickly and efficiently. However, I asked up front if everything was included and I was told it was, then after I moved out suddenly council tax wasn't included. Not only this but they charge a check out fee, fee for a water mark in the shower and some wear and tear. For minor wear & tear I was going to be charged more than my deposit (a very unreasonable charge). Within the house all of the tenants had different agreements and contracts and had different arangements. They are inconsistent and after your deposit. I would not use them again. Do not use them!

Makes us all really really sad to read this. You were a model tenant, one of the best, never a single issue, EVER. We did our best to assist whenever we could although categorically and for the record your Landlord handled ALL repairs. So after you left and your Landlord asked for you to pay for the council tax, and asked for a deduction for a water mark, YOU (not us) physically agreed (IN WRITING) for him to have the money, not us. So please remind us, what did we do wrong? We even advised you on this, so some 10 months later you decide to leave a totally negative review for subsequently nothing we actually did wrong. You agreed to give us the £247.20 from your £500 deposit, you did this in writing as part of the agreement process and received the balance back promptly to your bank account once agreement was reached, totally in line to what was agreed according to your tenancy agreement and tenants terms of business, which detailed all costs in writing, which you signed prior to moving in. This was also explained in person by the Lettings Negotiator prior to move in. Unfair reviews damage small businesses. FACT. We are extremely upset by this change of heart of opinion, 10 months after you moved out and welcome any official complaint you wish to make in writing to the office Manager as per our official complaints procedure so that we can address, whatever it is, you were unhappy with. Regards, The Management.

Awful, had endless problems before moving in, trying to get us to sign contracts that where wrong, kept calling both myself and my partner by wrong names, argued back and called us liars when we explained we did not want to be called different names, they where then silent when I sent all of the emails with at least 5 different names they had called us. Once moved in we had found all the issues they said would be sorted before we moved in had not been sorted and they then claimed there was no evidence of this. They keep chasing me for money that I have already paid, after explaining it was paid on a credit card which has since been cancelled with no statements they then just sent the account to a debt collector instead of just searching their system for the payment. (still ongoing) When our tenancy was up for renewal they had people round to view, but showed up with the wrong keys letting potential new tenants down and having to cancel the viewings. The letting agent who showed the new potential tenants round was the only positive, simply because he was positive and friendly.

Hi Jack, thanks for the review, albeit totally negative, although we believe this relates to the previous owners of the franchise, as this was all before we took over. It would be helpful to us all if you could leave a review of how things have been under the new management. Having reviewed ALL the correspondence between us all, the only thing we can see is answers to your question and an overall good level of service, when you were asking about an early release for example, for which we gave you answers on. In terms of the owed monies we can confirm this was resolved from your deposit when you agreed to give us the money as it did remain unpaid, furthermore you did not answer our email of the 13th June 2018 where we directly asked you to send us a bank statement etc as proof. This went ignored by you. However you did agree to give us the owed monies from your deposit repayment so what you have written above is unfair and factually incorrect. I'm sorry if the previous owners didn't meet your expectations but we don't have any control over that. It's standard practise to chase for owed monies, and take matters further if we aren't paid. In addition the property was never managed by Martin & Co as it was a 'Tenant find only' service, sometimes we are given wrong keys or locks are changed on properties we don't manage without us knowing, so as long as we apologised to those concerned hopefully they were understanding about it, it's an occupational hazard of the job i'm afraid. We're pleased to hear you were happy with the service from the most recent experience which was under the new management and we would add that factually incorrect reviews hurt small independent businesses otherwise good reputation.

Can't ever improve if you don't tell us what your problem is.

Ive been trying to get me toilet fixed for 3months and no help from the London Road office at all . It's now become an environmental health issue as the toilet leaks and stinks of waste . Yet still I get ignored and fobbed off . I'm at my wits end . Can anyone help me , I keep a clean home and because of this I have a stained sewage smelling toilet .

Hi Yvette, i've spoken to your Landlord who has confirmed the plumber has been trying to contact you to get this resolved but you haven't called them back, i will very shortly put the plumbers number up here so you can make contact and get the issued resolved. Many thanks. Gavin.

Avoid! Agency are scam artists in my opinion. Didn't turn up to arranged viewing which should have set alarm bells ringing. When went with them, charged us £750 fees over the year and took 4 months to give us any deposit back (not the full amount, of course!). They only follow the terms in their contract when it suits them. Also changed the dates in the contract at the last moment without telling us resulting in extra rent for them. Beware!
