Over the past 3 years We had to sell both our mothers homes. They ended up in care homes and during the sale of one house our mother passed away. This then required going through probate , the sale we had was lost and we ended up in the market stall due to the war in Ukrane. Throughout all of this the staff at Hannah James were fantastic. They felt our pain! They treated us as friends rather than sellers. Despite many issues they persevered and the property was sold. Having them local, onsite and combined with the solicitors made the frequent issues so much easier to solve. Our other property had a few issues, but again being local they just got on with them and we acheived the asking peice. We have nothing but praise of their services.

Manchester's were the estate agents and vendors solicitors for our flat purchase. My only regret was that we couldn't have them as our solicitors as was only their care and attention that enabled the flat purchase to go through in an unheard of 6 weeks from offer acceptance. James and the Team were thorough and diligent and made the whole process almost painless. I would highly recommend them and next time I will only chose Manchester's for my conveyancing and for estate agents services.

I used Manchester Durham to sell my late father's house. James and his team provided an excellent and thorough service at all stages. I quickly realised that James and his team are very experienced in their field, with a high level of expertise.They gave extremely valuable advice and listened carefully to any questions or concerns I had. I was supported in many different ways - from practical affairs to legal advice. They always responded in a prompt manner. The team communicate very well with with each other. Manchester Durman should be the first choice and preferred agent for sales in the Sanderstead and surrounding area due to their unique proposition; they are an SME, set-up and established by highly qualified partners whose families live locally where the partners were themselves locally schooled, staffed by professional locals with extensive knowledge of the area (with their own children in local schools) and as importantly, supporting local businesses as well as the community. Their office is perfectly located too, supported by a well designed and easily navigated web site.
As Executor to an estate, we invited five agents to view and value (local as well as national having a local presence); all five gave an identical valuation, with fees within 0.1% of each other; perhaps wisely, when asked for metrics used to measure performance, Manchester's response was inclusive of the 'human factor' rather than solely number driven data. Selection then was based on other criteria; previous reviews, confidence of a successful outcome, the efficiency and 'voice' of office telephone answering, response and action became deciding factors (inclusive legal fees and support were a welcome added bonus).
This is a friendly, rather than aggressive, pushy, 'family feel' practice with determined and persistent staff, taking a 'relationship building' approach rather than being sales target driven (although having no knowledge of internal procedures this could be incorrect). Methodical, thorough and diligent, especially in the legal aspects, they achieved the original valuation and to a buyer who would appear to be perfect for the property and to the neighbourhood. Overall highly satisfactory but every organisation needs to continuously learn, adapt and be open to improvement to survive; Manchester's deserve to.
