They never replayed to my phone call.

Absolute worse agent to rent through if you are a tenant. Impossible to get them to sort any issues, we had issues for a year and then got told we hadn't reported it after screenshots of evidence that we had reported it a year before they will send someone out to look but then still take 3 months to do anything. When it came to leaving they tried to take our deposit and were totally unreasonable sending nasty emails trying to scare monger us with apparent additional issues with the property after our checkout inspection we finally took it to the tenancy deposit scheme adjudicator who deemed bassets as being unreasonable and gave us most of our deposit back. Definitely worth fighting them for deposits as they just try and take your money for their own benefit would never do anything through this company again!

Absolutely horrendous towards tenants. Extremely predatory behaviour when it comes to returning any of your deposit. Resolution of property issues may take months, up to years. Northwood have a captive audience when it comes to renters and treat their renters as sub-human at times. You could pay your rent on time for years with this lender and leave your rented property in pristine condition, they will still try to squeeze money from you. Absolutely aweful bunch. Don't expect great communication either with booking of viewings when it's near the end of your tenancy. Renters are "less than" to them. Would give negative stars if possible.

Lied at every point of the rental, over occupied the property and did not respect my quiet enjoyment. One of there agents let them self’s in my room unannounced. Record every interaction. Assume they are lying to you. Check they have put your deposit in a safe guarding scheme then check it yourself. Change your locks (check on shelter how to do this within the law). Or better yet use anyone else.

Very poor service and communication, told me to overpay on my rent and I would receive it back at end of tenancy, which I thought was odd. 9 days after end of tenancy and still waiting for return of my money, and although advised by bassets to pay this overpayment, when I asked for my money back told to ask the landlord myself. Really poor service

The rental market was really busy meaning that properties went up and then went straight off the market. So I called Bassetts as soon as I found a property I liked, they took my details but said they needed to check something with the landlord but they'd get back to me. A week later I heard nothing so I called back and the landlord had replied but they never told me. I needed to book a viewing so they wanted to check with the landlord. So I gave them my details again and asked that they updated me when they had more details. The house is now let and I've never been told anything. I felt like I was forgotten and ignored. There's been a few new properties I enquired about and never heard anything back. Now when I see a rental property put up by Bassetts I don't even bother enquiring. I've never had such bad service from a lettings agent.
