However, to clarify the situation, the individual contacting us is not the legal executor of the estate but the former partner of the deceased. As a regulated business, we are legally required to take instructions only from the appointed executor or their acting solicitor once probate has been granted. For this reason, we simply requested confirmation from a solicitor that probate has been granted and that the person contacting us has the legal authority to act as executor of the estate. This is a standard legal requirement and protects all parties involved. Until this documentation is provided by a solicitor, we are unfortunately unable to discuss or act on matters relating to the property. We have responded back to you and have all supporting evidence of this so stating this is false information.
