Really bad service and they steal your deposit at the end of your tenancy avoid!!!

Sorry to receive this review, although struggling to identify you or the property you were in. For the record, all deposits are protected in a government scheme these days, so gone are the days when a landlord or agent can 'steal' a tenancy deposit. If you've received deductions from your deposit these will have been authorised by an external adjudicator if necessary.

Really rude staff, myself and my partner were really interested in the property and was about to sign the dotted line however, we decided not to because of the way they made us felt. It felt like they turned there nose down at us and was very antagonistic and patronising. I wouldn’t say there money grabbers like people say, I would say there just impatient, abrupt.. and lack social skills. Asked if we had any questions and I asked one that I felt was very valid and was told to “google it” even though the question I asked, I would expect they know giving the industry they’re in. If I can avoid ever using these guys then I will. If they were awful before signing the papers, imagine what they’re like when you do sign them !!!

SO apparently you cannot rent with this agency if you are under 21... doesn't say this anywhere on the website. Even though legally you're allowed to rent at 16 with a guarantor. I couldn't believe it, i'm full time permanent employment but because i'm 20 and they turned me away, obviously never going back.

You're right - anyone under the age of 21 needs to have a guarantor - this is an insurance requirement for most landlords, so applies to us and to most other agencies we know. Also, the minimum age someone can be bound by a contract in the UK is 18, so for that reason most landlords will refuse to rent to someone who is younger than that. You're also right that this isn't on our website, as there's no hard and fast rule, and different property owners have different requirements. For that reason we go through property-specific requirements with people BEFORE they attend a viewing so that their time isn't wasted. I'm pleased that happened in our dealings with you.

Avoid this agency, man on the phone spoke to me very rudely. They also charged me when i left a property for not cleaning the outside of a roof window & also for water marks on the shower door. Absolute joke.

Sorry to receive this review. Having checked your file it seems your landlord sought deductions for a dirty shower screen and dirty window, both of which were clearly visible on your check out report. These days a landlord can not just take a tenants deposit without their consent - there's a clear legal process if you want to challenge deductions that your landlord is proposing. If you choose this route your case will be heard by a third party adjudicator who will decide. Or you can just go and vent with a google review!

I have arranged a viewing with Belvoir, unfortunately the agent arrived without any brochure and information regarding the property. After viewing the property I realised that the photos used for advertising were from different property. When I asked the agent for the floor plan, he said that this is one bed flat and they do not do floor plan. The agent was on the phone almost all the time and I had a feeling that I disturb him. Disappointing

Sorry you feel like this Anna, and happy to talk to you about this further if required. However the days of bringing glossy print outs to viewings are long gone - these things are pinged around by email in 2018. Aware this doesn't suit everyone, but it's done in the interests of efficiency and saving the rain forest.
