I rate due to the process not the service. Firstly, Alysha, I can only wish you the best with your career as you keep it very real and that is something i appreciate as a someone searching for a home. You made it very clear the expectations and how to be most successful. Aside from that, i would say Stow brothers has very nice properties and to actually get one of them would be a dream. However, i find the whole process quiet tedious and disheartening as 1) you’re booked in for a viewing at a set time but it ends up being a open house anyways . 2) You have an asking rice and end up having to over offer to get a chance anyways. I think we should prioritise good tenants over greed. It is turning Walthamstow into a place where locals, like myself, do not have a chance.

We rented through the Walthamstow tenancy team. Fine and polite when you managed to get hold of them, but some expensive charges towards the end of the tenancy that came as a surprise, with a considerable fees for elements of the final clean that weren't laid out in our contract. Often had to chase responses and confirmations for emails about maintenance, end of tenancy viewings and deposit. They wanted to photograph the whole house during inspections rather than just areas for maintenance, which breached privacy and also didn't appear in the original contract. They pushed back surprisingly hard on this but did back down eventually. Overall reasonable service. There are worse agencies out there.

Good property portfolio

I've had a bit of a mixed experience with them. when I was buying a place Stow Brothers were ok. But before that, when I rented a place, I found them disappointing. They seemed keen to get people to outbid each other, whipping up a frenzy to encourage inflated prices. It was actually unpleasant. In the end I went with a different estate agent for that, and had a better, calmer experience.

Advert on rightmove was littered with mistakes... only interested in making a quick sale. Millenial mavericks riding the suburban property boom!
