I placed an offer on a property in Amersham which I believe has not been taken to the client. I have subsequently phoned on more than 6 occasions over a two week period for an update only to be told (on the occasion a person in branch answers the phone) that they don't know what's happened, they need to look into it and will get back to me. So far no one from Chancellors has contacted me.Sadly I would not recommend using this company at this moment in time.

Steer clear of chancellors estate agents quite happy to take your money and then let you down at the last minute.

Just awful. In our experience their property management service is shockingly bad.

with advice asking us to market our house at over 30k less than value, plus a lack of competence, we regret ever signing up with Chancellors. waiting for the contract to end so we can go with more competent estate agents.

Absolutely horrendous. If you're ok with breach of data protection and disclosure of your personal finances to your ex-husband, hey, go with Chancellors. They are SO inept, unbelievably arrogant, inordinately incompetent and even with numerous court demands, they refused to engage. At your peril.

PLEASE AVOID CHANCELLORS. For 8 MONTHS I have been begging these morons to get several issues sorted with the home I rent. I AM STILL WAITING! I can honestly say this is the worst estate agents I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. It has been one disaster after another with them. PLEASE CHECK ALL PAPERWORK. THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM FORGING SIGNATURES.

AVOID. Absolutely terrible service. 4 days before I was due to move in to a property which I had already paid a deposit and first month’s rent for, as well as having signed a contract, I was told the property had been sold so I could no longer move in. I was never even informed that the property was up for sale. This was over a week ago and despite phoning every day and speaking to 6 or 7 different people at Chancellors I have still not been refunded any of my money!

My sister put a deposit and first months rent of £1130 on a house to rent (also signed a contract) , 4 days before she was going to move in they told her the property had sold, they did not inform her the property was even for sale. They still haven’t refunded her any of her money which they said they would in 3-5 working days (now been well over that) She has now had to use all of her months wages for the deposit and first months rent on another property (with a decent estate agent) and has informed them of this and they just keep fobbing her off! Absolutely disgusting company! AVOID

I would highly recommend giving these guys a miss..... Or at least the leominster branch anyway. Absolutely appalling service. We certainly won't be approaching this company with our money in the future.

Absolutely useless in property management. I’m not sure what service I’m getting for the astronomical fee they’re charging but I’m starting to think I can do a better job managing the property myself from Australia. It’s taken Chancellors 3 months to get a gas safety certificate passed and with poor communication to contractors, it’s costing me more money because guys turn around up to the property “without the right part” for the job. High staff turnover is also a sign of the rotten culture. Avoid this firm like the plague.
