Dealing with the director of the company was not a pleasant experience whatsoever. There were delays which were out of our hands in terms of having surveys to which we followed up on personally, which is something we should not have to do. With these delays, the director rang several times throughout telling us that we were at risk of losing the house we had put an offer in for, threatening that the sellers were now going to rent the property and pull out of the deal. She was then, amongst these delays, stating the completion had to be done by the end of March which was an impossibility due to the delays of surveys and the property searches commencing late on in March. This was again met with further threats that the deal was going to breakdown, sellers were going to pull out and we were to lose the property. Our assumption being that the director was hoping to have everything completed before the next tax year, which should have no priority. She was kept in the loop at all stages where we would call regularly and email to state where any issues had occurred and kept her fully informed. This was met with very short and rather passive emails to ourselves, mortgage advisor, solicitors and other parties demanding what was going on, even though she had been informed. When told of any delays and that the March deadline was impossible to reach, again this was met with very short emails stating that the time frame was not good enough and that it can be done quicker. Overall not great to deal with the director of this company and the only relief we had from her being on our case was the introduction of lockdown and signing of the house eventually. Other people we spoke to were however great and really helpful particularly the lady we picked the keys up from and the receptionist I had spoken to several times. These people have forced me to give 2 stars and not 1! Overall bad experience with this company, mainly the director and would not recommend or use ourselves.
Extremely upsetting experience and would not recommend. We were approached by them and asked to put on market with them as very confident would sell. Marketed wrong, viewings difficult they were very rarely available to do these. Any feedback from viewings we had to chase. When property did sell, the buyers messed around at the final stages and we were made to feel stupid and as though sellwell were working for our buyers and not us. Support shocking. Took off the market with them and went to another agent who marketed correctly, arranged viewings and had us resold within less than a week for more than what we had previously sold at. Would not recommend them at all.
Poor ! Would never buy a house from them again . Untrustworthy to us and cost us alot of money . Bad customer service , unpolite and showed no interest what so ever .. it’s all about them !!
I would not recommend sell well at all and had a traumatic and stressful 9-month experience with them which resulted in us taking our house off the market with them and going with a different estate agent. I found their customer service to be extremely poor along with their honesty and transparency. At the start, I expressed my anxieties about not finding a property and putting ours on for sale and being in a tricky situation. Karen reassured that they would help “move mountains” but then they never once emailed us or rang us with potential properties they were listing. We agreed to support occasional viewings on evenings or weekends, which actually led to us doing the majority of our own viewings. When we found a property we liked with them, we were then told viewings were full or that there was a 4 week wait for a Saturday appt, no loyalty to us being a client and certainly no ‘mountains being moved’. Poor communication and miscommunication issues. When you speak to anyone who isn’t the director, no one seems to know anything and can’t give an update, instead they always put you on hold and say they need to speak to Mel. Staff even made comments about the notes being unclear on system (probably why mistakes are made). We experienced an incident whereby a male worker told us the bottom of the chain buyer was a cash buyer however there was no accountability or compassion when we expressed our frustration that this was miscommunication they only denied that this happened and even tried to play me and my partner of each other, calling us individually when we requested we wanted to be rang in the evening when we were together to ensure transparency! When the chain collapsed for a second time there again was no compassion for our position. Instead Sell Well priortised the other vendor who hadn't Initially listed with them (unlike us). Also experienced a data protection leak, when we received details of someone elses house sale including full names and addresses by email. Countless lies and excuses that we caught out. Even taking our house of the market was made difficult. However it was the best decision we made. They report that they pride themselves on customer service but all of the above is why we are dissatisfied with the service and why we would avoid any further contact with them in the future and certainly would not recommend! Avoid at all costs!!

From the majority of reviews Sellwell has an overwhelmingly good reputation. However both my experiences with them haven't been positive. It's unfortunate that due the monopoly of properties within the Worsley Walkden area they look after we will inevitably be in contact again. Hopefully third times the charm. My experience in 2018 was poor buying my first house. But this time has compelled me to write in about them. I enquired about a property between Christmas and new year. I was assured I'd be sent an email confirming the dates, this didn't happen and it took me ringing them January 3rd (morning of the viewing) to ensure the visit went ahead. The reason I hadn't had the email is the email address wasn't address correct. Within the three calls I've had with Sellwell regarding the property in question, they had to re-enter my details each time. Including name, spelling, and if I was a first time buyer... despite my records being on there previously as they were eventually able to tell me my property at the moment, because I'd bought my current home through them. During the first call they were more bothered about getting my current house on the market than getting me a viewing despite me explaining I didn't need to sell this house to purchase the one in question. Begs the question what the GDPR policy of Sellwell is like? Coming to January 3rd , what I will say is the lady that showed us the property was utterly lovely. No hard sell, no fluffing answers. Just thoroughly professional. We viewed the property at 11:45am and spent 25 minutes looking round. By 12:46 I had a call informing me an offer had been put in. I said I'd like to discuss things with my partner to ensure we'd like to progress as she's 7 months pregnant but we are very keen and would most likely be making an offer and I was assured I'd get the afternoon to think. By 1:29pm the very same day I'd been told the property was off the market. I'd understand if a chain was involved, however the property was vacant. Whilst I appreciate this isn't entirely the estate agents fault the lack of control in regards to the seller and the consultation throughout has been thoroughly disappointing. Twice with Sellwell, twice unhelpful.
Terrible experience and customer service.
Absolutely rude on the phone, I had a booking on a property on 29.06.2022 i drove all the way to property and the landlord says come back next week, bad managment, then for other viewing same day ive been promised a call back but never happened, however, i received a call with bad attitude asking why not attending for viewing, base on my experience i do not advise this agancy at all.
