Northwood took over from the Key Place as our letting agent about half way through our tenancy. They were pretty reasonable and fair throughout their time. I would give 5 stars but it took several weeks to resolve a washing machine that needed replacing and a boiler that needed fixing (two or three times an engineer came round without keys when we told them no one was home and he would need to pick up keys from them). It also took several weeks to receive our check out letter after we had to prompt them a few times. However, the rest of the time they were reasonable and fair and didn't overcharge us for cleaning fees like I hear Southside do.

Some eight years ago I rented out my Edinburgh flat through Northwood and was very happy with the service I received. I recently wanted to rent out my same property so again approached Northwood. My initial contact with Lewis Mallen was very efficient and professional and Lewis found suitable tenants for my flat in less than one week. My contact with the Edinburgh office re the necessary paperwork was also smooth and efficient, I highly recommend the services of Northwood, Edinburgh.

We moved our flat letting to Northwood in late 2020 having just fully renovated it. We had become tired of impersonal service and a lack of response from our previous agent. From the start the Northwood team have been very attentive to our needs despite the whole Covid 19 lockdown situation. Prior to letting we had very helpful discussions with Northwood including regarding the rent. Subsequently, following their advice when there seemed to be little acceptable interest in the property, we set a lower rent we were happy with that recognised the difficult state of the market in the Covid 19 climate. Within a few days we had an application, our tenant had moved in and rent in the bank. The office staff are extremely helpful and quick to respond to emails and requests. For example: we needed to provide a new vacuum cleaner for the flat and the office were happy to receive an Amazon order we placed and put it in the flat. When the new tenant moved in and asked for it to be removed as they had their own, Northwood collected it, labelled it and dropped it off to be returned to Amazon. That's a responsive and confidence building service! It is early days yet as we have only been with Northwood since mid-December and the first tenant has only been in place for under 2 months but we are very happy with the service and convinced that we made the right move to switch our letting agent and join Northwood.
