PLEASE AVOID THIS LETTING AGENT-If you see Sean Lewis Properties as your landlord through them run a mile, he has been taken to court a few times over breaching tenants rights. The regional manager is the sister of Sean Lewis and pretends that she has no way to contact him...odd you can't contact your own brother??? If I could rate lower than one star I would, where to start. We rented a property for three years with belvoir and it was a constant fight with them the whole time. I suffer with severe asthma and it was made clear from the start but the flat was mouldy, they lied about the windows being double glazed, they left us without a working boiler for 6 months in the winter because the landlord refused to pay for it and the window was leaking for the entire three years despite asking for it to be repaired. It wasn't just an issue with our flat but the entire building and it was the same scenario every time. We would submit a repair request, they would sent someone out (eventually) and they would receive a quote which the landlord would promptly ignore. The attitude of the staff was appalling they're completely heartless and condescending, they couldn't care less that you are living in a freezing, mouldly flat, and since there is a housing crisis they know full well nothing will be done about it so they carry on as they make money off your misery. To top it all off they kept our deposit way past the legal allowance and I doubt they bothered to even inspect the property but I know for sure we left it in a better state than we got it. Good luck if you go with them, they'll be nice as pie till they get you in and then you're ignored.
Repairs not carried out they enter your flat when Ur not in they don't care about tennents rights DO NOT RENT FROM BELVOIR as they are cowboys
Viewed one of their properties last week and not only was it misadvertised, but also had flies everywhere.
Avoid!!! I applied for a property and was informed they would go ahead with my application. Everything was sent in, quick communication when they needed a few extra things, everything seemed fine. Then nothing, no reply, no contact of any kind. Now a month later the property has been relisted. Not even an email or call to say my application was unsuccessful for whatever reason. Just left me waiting and waiting! Now I only have 10 days left until I become homeless! So thanks for that. Absolutely disgraceful and easily the worst property company I’ve ever dealt with.
I rented with Belvoir for 3 years and dealt with progressive black mould and leaks from walls and ceilings in multiple rooms. The bathroom had a crack that was getting bigger and I was worried about it with reason. Everything was damp. I had just been a student so couldn’t afford to move but did everything in my power to make it liveable and clean. I filed repair reports and asked for help but it went nowhere over the course of my tenancy. The bottom line is Belvoir shouldn’t be taking on properties that aren’t to standard yet they do. I have been to other belvoir viewings where the flats had clear indications of mould and leak problems so this is not a one off. Environmental health and public services both visited and reviewed the flats condition at the time, deeming it unsafe and problematic. I was advised by services to take it up with my landlord. Belvoir did little to help me and I was told it wasn’t their problem and that they were certain the landlord wasn’t going to do anything about it. If you want to be with an agency that doesn’t have a conscience, there it is.
I have been trying to contact them this week regarding water leaking from our bath and causing water damage to the carpet in the hallway. I have raised it twice through fix flo, phoned multiple times (no answer) and left 3 voicemails. This is ridiculous considering our other shower is out of action due to the same problem (except water leaking though into our kitchen ceiling) I have been renting this flat for over 6 years and kept the flat in excellent condition. I have also been more than understanding through ongoing issues with the bathroom over 4 years. Total disrespect on their end. I will take this higher if I have to
