Wanted to with hold deposit for wear and tear damages on the property that was damaged when we moved in. Also with held money for cleaning my old place (even though I spent 5 hours cleaning before handing in keys) I arrive at the new place after being charged a cleaning service to clean what I have already cleaned I arrived at the new place to find black mold everywhere, urine and feaces all around the toilet and much more. After i complained about them charging me a cleaning fee for the old place when the new place was in such a condition, all they could offer was to get the land lord to come by when he is next available to clean the property. As if i am going to live in that filth until such time that they decide when they want to clean it. This is going to be my last tenancy with martin and Co. If you want some good advice... STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM. Pictures of filth in the new place after being charged exorbitant prices to clean the old place. It seems a standard practice to charge old tenants a cleaning fee but then don't actually clean the property before the new tenants arrive. Whose back pocket did my cleaning money end up in?
Worst customer service I have ever received they continue to lie over the phone they called me saying I’m not priority due to issues with my kitchen which I reported before I moved in I have filed a claim with my lawyer to sue them and get my money back as well do not have to be treated they way they did to me over the phone.
Reported issues about the kitchen and that this to be fixed only to find out that a staff member forgot to put this all as needed to fix things when we called to find out what’s going on we asked to talk to lady who forgot to fix this all the staff member said yes that’s fine hold on the line then he came back to us telling she is not available and telling us we are not priority . Words can not say how rude this service is absolutely scared to be under the roof with a one year contract with this company hopefully the landlord won’t be as bad to us ….
A letting agent that is clever in one thing only;taking money from the tenant. Once they took the money, they don't know you, just go and speak to Landlord. Poor attitude. I don't recommend.
New landlord with this Lettings Management Company. Thought this was going to be a "good fit" for me and a "positive working relationship". Sadly, their fees and costings are excessive. From my experience, they will milk every penny from you. Sadly, I'm already signed up with them, otherwise I certainly wouldn't go with them unless you have a lot of money. It's not been a good experience so far.
I moved out after my 6 months lease then Laura Pickerill did the exit check and decided that they'll keep all my deposit for painting the walls. I only stayed in this 3 bedroomed house with my son yet she thinks I don't deserve my deposit back. I paid my rent religiously even when I lost my job for 3 months during the lease be period . I got a job in Derbyshire where I would go and stay there for 4 days and come back to Crewe for 2& a half days. I didn't know that it's a requirement for me to paint the house again after moving out. I cleaned the house after moving. I forgot a rug outside and 2 bicycles which I forgot in the shed ,which I later collected . I see all this as unfair treatment for people of colour and unfairness on her part. They couldn't find a tenant for the house for October that's why they're making me pay for the rent by keeping my deposit of £923. My rent was £800. I'm disappointed to find that this is how this company treats people of colour. My deposit is too much to cover the small scratches on the walls which were not even fully painted when I moved in but instead touched up.
I popped in to speak to Ben who had been ignoring my emails. He was not available but Toby spoke to me once he had unlocked the door to allow me in. However, when I was getting upset (due to a hidden disability) Sarah came across to basically tell me to leave. As someone who is finding their disability needs are blocking them being able to apply for and secure a home where I will be able to live a basic life with my fiance, instead of us needing to live apart, being treated in this way is just appalling. I hope Sarah learns from what I managed to say and doesn't continue to behave the way she did today. As I said before I left, I am sorry my disabled existence is too offensive for her.

Returned property in a spotless condition, deposit agreed to be returned in full. A month later I'm still chasing it...very poor end of tenancy after 4 years of renting. Very disappointed.
