I'd give them zero stars if I could. Please avoid these cowboys. I've recently vacated a property that they manage and I've received nothing but threatening emails from Kate, Alex and Gail saying they are going to apply for a CCJ against me, yes I admit that I was owning some rent when vacating however offered them a repayment plan as they stated they were unable to take this from the deposit however I have now had then claim this from the deposit, and they seem to think I'll still be paying the £40 a month offered, not a chance your not getting double from me. The property I vacated was deemed as not fit for human inhabitation due to the dangerous loft and the roof needing a major repairs. I will be taking legal advise and will fight them the whole way as they have new tenants in the property now EDIT in response to the reply from yourselves, notice wasn't given for rent arrears, the rent owed is for the last month and I have emails to prove this and also the threat of a CCJ. The property has been re let as I've been informed by a number of neighbours and for for you saying it needed cleaning, the property was left in the state it was given, I admit I forgot a chair in the small room but that doesn't warrant you trying to claim over £2000 from myself, I will be speaking to my solicitor

We’re really sorry to receive this Nicholas as it is obviously not our aim to upset people. This should really have been posted on the Rentals page but we will look into your complaint and come back to you. However when rent arrears are due we have to protect our client who is owed the monies otherwise they can fall into arrears with their lender. Nicolas, we have now looked into this and we will contact you direct to try and resolve the matter. We do however dispute your review as we have not threatened you with a CCJ, the house has not been re-let as it needs cleaning, the rent is owed to the landlord and he gave notice because of this.

Worst Estate Agents Around. They need to learn how to communicate with their clients. You never informed me with anything, so stop your lies. Gillian Spence Marla your Senior Letting Manager needs Customer Service Skills as she doesnt know how to talk to a customer. I requested a contractor to be sent out to the property Asap which you failed to do aswell as there were no follow-ups and nither any confirmation through emails that someone is gona visit the site instead so i assumed you didnt find anyone instead you bill me for something that i didn't require again and nither justified.You wasn't thinking i was gona wait forever for you imaginary contractor to turn up were you. And Thanks for nothing.

Usman were obviously really disappointed to receive this review. We have investigated this and we are sorry but we totally disagree with your comments as we clearly arranged with you for contractors to visit the house and you refused them entry which is where the problem arose. Contractors will unfortunately always charge for a failed visit which we cannot change.

Not very helpful at all unfortunately. I'm homeless, sofa surfing after fleeing domestic abuse and sadly I couldn't make a viewing for a property due to work commitments, I only got offered the viewing yesterday. Apparently it's their policy that you HAVE to view the property before putting in an application. I can't find this policy on their website and despite my awful situation they offered no solution and were very abrupt. Very unfortunate because other Estate Agents have been very considerate. Surely if I'm okay putting in an application having only seen pictures, knowing full well the property would be suitable for myself as a single person that should be enough, as it is with most estate agents but it isn't and gets you a very frosty response.

The demand is very high at the moment and if house in question is popular others will undoubtedly get the property. Firstly, me and a friend applied to rent a property. Neither of us have had any CCJ's etc. Anyway, we didn't get it as the agent said someone else had got it. Just 3 days later it's still on the market with a reduced price. So either way, I've been lied to. Not good at all. Secondly, I was going to apply for another property under them but didn't bother as they said I'd need to drive all the way to their Cleckheaton base again to hand in application after they already have every detail they need from me. Not very good for people who are short of time and plus the costs of fuel etc not mention the global footprint. Not good enough.

Andrew this is a review on rentals so you need to direct it that page. Unfortunately there are more houses than tenants applying so we are sorry you lost out.

Underhanded misleading give you false hope play with your mind in the end just wanting more on a provisionally sold property hoping seller will accept..... some people have morals.... not here though! having dealt with many estate agents worst experience ever so far EDIT BELOW In response: to call someone churlish for leaving an honest review speaks volumes.... its not about gazumping its about not leading someone up the garden path as a buyer we need to make decisions too i know what happened along the process as it was told to me and i know things happened in the background...... i know with 100% confidence can say it was wrongly handled and i was dealt with incorrectly as a serious buyer!NegativeProfessionalism

We are here to obtain the best price for our client but never encourage gazumping and someone has to lose out. We do feel it is a little churlish to post a 1 star review because of this however.

Dreadful service. I know the housing market is bonkers right now but no excuse for such a poor customer service. Nothing but promises and lies. To the reply; Strange how I got a phone call within 20 mins of writing this review. I was buying and was promised a call-back on two seperate occasions. The only call I got was after writing this review. Sad that you operate in this manner - but not my problem now as I won't deal with you for any future business.

Don’t bother only estate agent actively tried to stop us viewing property when eventually got viewing was told by owner of company one bid on table of asking price was told to put in last and final bid which did 25k above bid they had received cash buyer my house had sold was then informed they had gone with the other party as they were in a better position but would not confirm what bid they had received left a bad taste also quite rude and off with my wife from the start avoid at all cost unprofessional

Mr Kidd, We are sorry you felt you had to write this review as you were disappointed you did not get the house. It was a fair process despite what you thought and we did explain the ‘best and final’ offer process when you viewed. It is against the law to discuss other bids as we explained and the other party offered earlier than you and was in a more advanced position so the executor decided to go with them. Unfortunately someone was always going to lose out. Mr Watts explained he wasn’t aware of all offers on the viewing but was going to check when he got back as you were the last viewers. We believe we were professional throughout and were never rude even though you were upset on the final phone call.

Misleading information, disorganized, unprofessional on viewings by giving incorrect information, over booking viewings meaning my wife to look around on her own and had to wait almost half an hour in the property until the agent came back for her. Staff in the office are rude and unhelpful, and extremely judgemental. Wouldn't recommend at all.
