Apologies, I can't remember the video person's name but he worked hard to capture the full extent of our property and the end product was superb. Estate Agents are NOT all the same… Looking to sell my late Mum’s house I knew that I was going to find the whole process fraught with the emotional aspects such situations unavoidably cause. We’re also a 100 mile round trip away from her house, so the process was going to be low hands-on by us & reliant on a high degree of trust & communication with our Agent. Our original Agent decided to close his business several weeks after we joined him & he passed over his portfolio to Archer & Co; so initially Archer & Co became our Estate Agent by default! We’d not considered them originally as they were 10 miles away from Mum’s house & we’d supposed it was best to be with an Agent in the town. However, after researching them online we were immediately impressed with them & learned that they were more “on the ball” than the local Agents we’d considered. After getting reassurance on such things as advert composition, photographs, narrative, escorted viewings etc. & seeing their far superior online presence, we decided that Archer & Co were most likely going to be the right team after all. Just a few days in & a steady stream of viewings got underway. We were given adequate notice of viewings (including names, times, etc. by phone & email), & received very prompt (& detailed) follow-up information (which was very important to take on board for any future enquiries). We soon received a cash offer but considered it too low. We learned that Archer & Co don’t put offers to their clients unless they are reassured that the buyer is in a position to complete the sales transaction. This was new to us but appealed because it meant that any offers we received would be genuine & worthy of serious consideration. We found it refreshing to be able to have frank conversations with Archer & Co about price, the layout & content of the online adverts etc. Knowing they were available 24/7 was also a plus as our own lives are quite manic & we can be tricky to get hold of. None of this fazed Archer & Co! We received another cash offer within a few weeks from a buyer looking for a quick transaction who was also chain-free. We accepted a slightly lower offer than we were asking - but higher than the previous one - & knowing the buyer’s financial situation was genuine is what swung the decision for us. Archer & Co kept us appraised throughout. Once the buying process began we were transferred to Caroline, their excellent Sales Progressor, who stayed with us every step of the way right through to the end. She always got back to us quickly & was able to liaise with our Conveyancer as well as the Buyer. We all knew where we were, whether anything was outstanding, & what we all were aiming for by way of Exchange of Contracts & Completion dates. Our sale went through in 15 weeks. We were very pleased. Archer & Co even honoured the previous Agent’s fee (which was less than they would have normally charged) without compromising their input & support in any way. They work very hard for their clients; they’re professional & strategic, knowledgeable, focused & proficient. And on top of that they are also lovely to work with & are professional to the nth degree! A wonderful team we were lucky to have working for us: Alex, Harriet, Lisa, Jen, Gill – all 5*. I have no hesitation in recommending Archer & Co to anyone looking for a first rate, diligent Estate Agent. How reassuring that not all Estate Agents are the same: Archer & Co certainly don’t do “same”.
A pleasure having Kerrie guide us on our second attempt at selling. Unfortunately we went with a rival company initially who promised us the world and didn’t deliver, we were tied in for 7 months and in that time Kerrie contacted me several times offering advice. As soon as we were out of contract Kerrie came in and delivered the most amazing service throughout keeping us informed of all steps, ensuring nerves were calmed at trying to sell again and any fears we had were unfounded. The photos and videos were fabulous and showcased our home to its full potential. In all we had 2 viewings within the first few days and 2 offers.
