Incredibly slow with the processes, inefficient and always favours the landlord. Thankfully our landlord was great, but whenever we had to deal with the agency, it was a nightmare.

I’m typing this with soo much pain in my heart, we had an unforgettable and emotionally painful experience with Mann Lettings Canterbury. I pray to God to let them experience the same suffering they put us through in endless folds. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR WELL-BEING. THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE, WORST, NOT HELPFUL especially PAUL HUGHES I don’t know how he’s the “Senior Branch Manager” but he was EXTREMELY RUDE AND TERRIBLE to me, and my husband. We went through THE WORST HUMILIATING, DISCRIMINATING, DISRESPECTFUL experience with these people. They kept on lying and lying with different stories every time we call for an update. They care-less about our housing situation even though when we kept explaining and providing evidence with to and their Liar of a referencing company. THE MENTAL TRAUMA we experienced with paul and lauren I wouldn’t even wish that on my worst enemy. PLEASE PEOPLE SAVE YOURSELVES THE TIME, HEADACHE AND MENTAL STRESS AND DONT USE THIS LETTING AGENT IF YOU WANT TO RENT A HOUSE OR SELL YOUR PROPERTY.

Following an abrupt and quite shocking phone call from this office manager, well call him P. So, What I am assuming was meant to be a 'quick update' phone call about a question I had left on the answer machine.. turned into a heated conversation about the 1 start review I had left on Google and nothing to do with the property at all... Rather childish and petty I may add too. Adding several mentions about HIS rating, asking me to change my star rating to what I think is appropriate... soo... since this is a public forum and I have the right to my own opinion, I have decided to comment and leave a review and leave his start rating at 1.. but to comment and share my experience. First of all light harassment and bullying comes to mind. But that's just my opinion.. This office and who it is run by lacks appropriate communication skills and most importantly customer service skills regardless of if you are a tenant or a landlord. Arrogant and rude when it comes to telephone manners and it's as if they have better things to be doing then answering your customer queries or issues you may have( if they answer the phone that is). But pop into the store and they are as nice as pie to your face.. makes you wonder what's actually going on..!

As a landlord, we found Mann canterbury very difficult to work with. The prices for maintenance were extortionately high and the communication broke down almost completely once they knew we decided to join another agent to manage our property. The branch manager would not handover the paperwork in “good time” to help smooth over this transition process because he just wanted to be difficult. We had work done to our property in August 2022 (contractor organised by the branch manager) and did not get an invoice until May 2023. Some of the charges were incorrect for example Mann had stated they had replaced our kitchen worktop but instead just repaired it and charged us for a new one. We were also quoted £340 for two bathroom basin taps, which costs less than £20. The £180 charge for “servicing” our conservatory door lock was only to oil them as confirmed by our tenant. Work was also done to our property without our authorisation and subsequently charged for it. When we raised this with the portfolio manager, they did not accept responsibility. We have now joined a new agent to manage our property in Canterbury and are much happier. Mann countrywide have let us down completely and would never go back to them under any circumstance and cannot trust them to do right by my property.

Utterly awful. Accepted an offer and played us along. Dishonest and untrustworthy. Lived up to reputation of estate agents of old. Avoid.

Absolutely horrific company. I rented a property for a year from them and it was in a shocking state when I moved in- filthy dirty, lots of things were broken including the washing machine and the only toilet. Throughout the whole 12 month contract these things were never sorted and I was just fobbed off by everyone and nobody cared one bit about my kids and my safety and just wanted their extortionate rent each month. I had to clean, fix and redecorate everything myself and pay for it all. Disgraceful and extremely rude.
