House Purchase
We are currently in the process of buying a house with Charles Carr and we have to say that Emma has made the whole experience a lot easier for us. When viewing houses she was able to book us into viewings last minute and also had an enthusiastic approach to the houses we viewed. Since our offer has been accepted she has been helpful in organising solicitors to contact us and also put us in touch with our mortgage advisor. She answers our questions quickly and we are very pleased with the service so far. Thanks Emma.

My partner and I would like to leave a review about out recent experience with your agency and with Chloe Goodman : Chloe has been very helpful from the start , the house viewing was great , she gave us all the information we needed. Our offer was accepted and she has been very helpful , very reliable , we were impressed to see that some evening she was able to reply to our emails around 20.00 pm. As first buyers , we were not familiar with the process and all her instructions were clear and it's very easy to contact her if we have any questions. We are happy with Chloe's service and with the service your agency is provided.

From initially not being sent a copy of the signed Agency Agreement through several cancelled viewings, a whole 10 days without a viewing, the "information sheet for your reference" not being included with either of the Formal Confirmation of Purchase letters, not being told who our "allocated specific member of staff" was, three weeks with no updates on progress (with both offers), failure to recognise the signs that our first buyers were about to pull out, no evidence of any "chasing and providing regular updates on the progress of our sale", a lack of knowledge of our sale among the "18 members of staff" making up the "collective team", being told to drop our key in at one of your Bitterne offices but finding it locked and in darkness when we got there and having to go to the other office where a team meeting was taking place and we were made to feel like we were intruding, being told that we could "collect the keys" for the house we had just sold when we were just enquiring as to whether the funds for the sale had been received - and finally, not being sent the link to this review. In short, very disappointing service and would definitely NOT recommend you.

Unprofessional
Cancelled viewing in the last min like people has nothing better to do, the only excuse given is that they are too busy doing open house. - do they not review day before what the dairy looks like? - do they not know how to maintain time table? - do they not know how to communicate with people? Unreliable and totally unprofessional.

DO NOT USE - LEFT PROPERTY OPEN - ITEMS STOLEN OVER £2500
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - £2500 BIKE GONE MISSING WHILST CONDUCTED VIEWINGS - LEFT MY PROPERTY UNSECURED ON AT LEAST TWO OCCASIONS - REPORTED TO POLICE AND THE PAPERS - NO REGARD FOR SERVICE - MANAGING DIRECTOR WOULD NOT TALK TO US AT ALL AND REFUSED TO HELP LEFT STAFF TO DEAL WITH IT. MANAGING DIRECTOR REFUSED TO SPEAK EITHER ME OR MY WIFE ABOUT IT WHEN HE WAS IN BRANCH, YET LET HIS STAFF HAPPILY TAKE THE FLACK FOR IT. REFUSED TO ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY. BEFORE YOU MARKET YOUR HOME ASK YOURSELF IF COMING HOM EAND YOUR PROPERTY BEING UNSECURE AND £2500 BIKE GOING MISSING IS ACCEPTABLE??!?! DO NOT USE THEM

Absolutely dreadful in all departments, Avoid at all costs!
Recently a buyer and had the utter misfortune to have to use Carter Edwards as the sellers agent. From the very start they have been slow and unresponsive, taking 2 weeks to get a response from the seller to a very simple question. I have received phone calls from 3 different members of staff asking for information that has already been given, or chasing me while I am waiting for a response from their own team in order to be able to move forwards! They appear to delight in wasting everyone's time, not communicating within their own team and going so far as to be simply rude in communications. In the end our purchase could have been completed 3 months quicker were it not for the utter ineptitude and complete lack of interest in or regard for their clients. Not even deserving of 1 star! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
