Read the reviews before conducting any business with RMA. Not to be trusted. My dealings with RMA. Kurt, the worker I had dealings with was extremely polite and helpful throughout my stay... However, when it came to recovering my security deposit. Emails aren't responded to in good time. It has been nearly a full calendar month when they have a statutory 14 days to return a deposit. I am being charged for the cleaning of communal areas, which I have never used. I never did washing at the property or cooked a meal, this will be verified but those i shared with. I also moved out 5 weeks before the others renting rooms in an HMO. How do I ensure those areas are clean when I have handed back the keys. I also informed them of my need to move out early between 2 and 3 weeks ahead of time. Asking if anything wasn't up to their standard to let me know as the contract was still running. What I had was a licence to use communal areas, and in exactly the same way if I had a driving licence but never drove, not in a million years am I accepting a speeding ticket. Guaranteed they will use a ludacrisly overpriced cleaning company also. So because of this we're now in as dispute. Bitter ending
Disrespectful, condescending and disorganised staff that purposefully avoid accountability. If you’re communicating with this company, ensure there is a paper trail and avoid phone calls. They are unhelpful and highly unprofessional.
Advertised a property as a detached when it clearly wasn't. I still decided to view it, but then no follow up call from this estate agent. Either they don't care or don't want to sell a property to someone like me. Waste of my time.
My experience with RMA has been atrocious right from the start. If I could I wouldn’t even give this letting agency one star. When we moved into the building the condition of the house was poor, showers didn’t work, boiler didn’t work, mould was all over the bathrooms creating a hazardous environment unsuitable to be living in. When it came to reporting these issues RMA did not immediately attempt to fix these issues, instead they ignored our emails and gave countless excuses. Not long after moving into the property we discovered the house was riddled with bed bugs, this issue was claimed to be taken care of weeks after the issue was first pointed out to RMA. The fumigation process they used to clear this issue was not successful and within the next week more bed bugs where spotted. Above one of the rooms was a family of rats that have been living rent free for months with nothing been done to challenge those pests. Upon reading other reviews on this company it’s pathetic to see 5 star reviews from family members of the employees and I would HIGHLY recommend you never rent using this company
Seems all estate agents in Oxford are useless, stopped at the office just before closing to drop some Documents and was ignored at the door. Then told to come back the next day because they were closing.
I would give -5 stars if I could. When we moved in, there was rotten rubbish all over the drive, slugs in the kitchen and none of the fuses were working. If I listed all of the laughable situations we were put into by this joke of an agency, this review would be a novella. The house was perpetually damp, it took them months to give us dehumidifiers- our clothes were literally going mouldy in the cupboards. We had to hassle them to get anything fixed around the house - sometimes there would be waiting times of weeks. The amount of money we paid for the living conditions provided is outrageous. And now we've moved out months ago, they are still refusing to give back hundreds from the deposit despite the appalling state of the house when we moved in, and the fact we left it extremely clean. Total scammers. Avoid!
Please please do not sell your house with Michael Anthony Estate Agents! We have had such a bad experience with them. The sales team weren't too bad, we had quite a few viewings often with fairly prompt feedback. The problem arises when …
Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. I chose to sell my flat through Michael Anthony as I had heard good things from people who had used them in the past. My flat was on the market for 6 months and did not sell. I appreciate the market is tough at the moment but communication from Michael Anthony was the most disappointing and frustrating part. Not once did anyone advise me about my options when the flat wasn’t selling or mention reducing the price, that came from a different estate agent who was selling a property I viewed. It really felt like there was a lack of care and proactive approach. I felt that I was always chasing for feedback after a viewing rather than Michael Anthony letting me know. I called Michael Anthony to raise issues that I was unhappy about but nothing changed and I have since withdrawn my flat from the market. No one asked why I was withdrawing or seemed too bothered about it.
Terrible agency. We are students here so they take advantage of us. No curtains in bedroom for first month. Both showers broke. Repairmen only came in when threatened with council action, in fact they rushed in 30 minutes before the council arrived. Broken cupboards, ants everywhere. Leaking ceilings with yellow liquid gushing through floorboards. This was our first ever rent but by God you'd have to mess up to get worse. Would put 0 out if 5 if there was an option.
