1. Not very good to deal with. If anything was broken nothing was fixed. 2. Take pictures of proof when you enter as the things that are wrong they tried to charge £325 for. 3. They said the flat would be clean and painted before entry this was not the case. The place was disgusting! The fridge was mouldy. Took a whole day just to clean the kitchen. Now they say all the things were our fault. There were no lightbulbs even in some rooms! 4. Even tho I cleaned thoroughly they say it needs a deep clean. 5 after reading the comments I would say it must be a scam!

Hi Frances. Nice talking to you over the phone. As per our phone conversation any claim against the deposit is made based on an independent third party professional Inventory and Condition Report that were prepared at the beginning and end of the tenancy. These reports will be submitted to SafeDeposits Scotland, the approved deposit scheme that is holding the deposit. You are the guarantor to one of the tenants. The tenants have already accepted in writing that decoration had been done to the property without the authorisation of the landlord. If there is any dispute, all parties should submit their claim and evidence to the SafeDeposits Scotland and their adjudicator will make a fair unbiased decision based on the evidence presented. Avoid this agency, nothing but problems. I rented a property from them and found a large leak in the bathroom roof, reported several times over 4 months and nothing was done until eventually the roof caved in! We were then unable to live in the property for a month while repairs were finally being done and had to fight just to get that months rent back. They showed up at the flat without any notice several times and let themselves in without any notice on one occasion. Also, they deducted a £150 cleaning charge from the deposit even though the apartment was spotless upon moving out, which seems to be a common occurrence so if you do rent with them don't expect your full deposit back.

SSSSSSTOOOOOPPPPPPPP! Don't go anywhere near this branch of Martin and Co. 6 times in 4 months they've handed out my keys without any mention of this to me. Strangers, trapesing around my home without my knowledge or consent. This is illegal and they don't care. Upon moving in to the flat that was promised to me by the snake-oil-salesman James, would be deep cleaned - Wasn't. Clothes in the wardrobe, sugar in the sugar tin, fousty teabags in the tea tin, beer lids under the fridge as well as Doritos and gummy worms in the middle of the kitchen floor, not under anything, right square in the middle of it - Not to mention they never throw anything away - I have years worth of odds-and-ends from previous tennants (Like a broken coffee machine shoved into the hallway cupboard, about 40 worn-out bedsheets in 3 seperate buckets in the bedroom). I look forward to the fight with them when they try and deduct a deep-clean from my deposit, even though me and my partner are leaving the hell hole in a nice condition than when we moved into it. They're crooks. Pure and simple. One star because you can't give no stars. The property isn't even registered in the Scottish Landlord Register - This is illegal.

Absolutely appalling service, very rude on the phone and can only manage to arrange viewings two/three weeks down the line?? Do they even want their flats to be let! Very disappointed as we liked several of their flats and wanted to arrange viewings but got absolutely no where with them and just wasted our time

Disgrace of a company - I had a flat which was managed by Martin & co aberdeen and any work that was needing done , they managed to get three Independent quotes , of which all were at least five times the cost of any other local companies. - claiming that they were real. Manager James was rude and not interested in anything but himself. Avoid
