I felt compelled to leave a positive review for John Bouwer and his team at Breckon & Breckon Witney, due to the fantastic partnership and service we received with selling our house. John was in constant contact with both myself and our buyer, to ensure that what turned out to be a fairly complex sale, was achieved in time to meet the original stamp duty deadline and get the sale over the line. We built a strong relationship throughout and will certainly work with John and Breckon in the future on any property sales we undertake.

Very professional and engaging team, especially John Bouwer, who went over and above our expectations on a very challenging move, it was only through John's drive and reaching out to all parts of our chain that the sale actually got across the line. We were the buyers for Martyn Clark's property and he has left a review. We can but absolutely support what he says. Without John Bouwer staying in touch, chasing where he could and above all keeping communication lines open I strongly doubt that that sale would have gone through. He was so much better than our estate agents it is hard to believe they both had the same job. So thanks John for all the hard work and helping this very short chain reach completion.

We recently bought a house that was being sold through Breckon & Breckon’s Witney branch and couldn’t be more positive about how helpful the team were along the way - especially given the difficult circumstances they were operating in during the pandemic. John Bouwer was our point of contact for the whole distance and truly went the extra mile at every opportunity which made all the difference. We were buying our first house and John couldn’t have been more understandable and helpful. A genuine friendly guy and he made the process a whole lot easier from start to finish and beyond. Wonderful service from both John Bouwer and Duncan MacMillan at Breckon & Breckon Witney. We were first-time buyers, and they helped us every stage of the way, making us feel just as important and valued as the vendor. Their friendly, down-to-earth, yet highly professional approach made the house-buying process much easier than expected. This is not the first time we have had a positive experience with Breckon & Breckon (their Oxford office proved equally brilliant when we were originally looking for a house in the city), and having dealt with quite a few estate agents in Oxford in my time, I can honestly say that Breckon & Breckon are the ones I would trust the most. From the first valuation visit by John, to handing over the keys for the new owner of our house, Breckon & Breckon were professional, helpful, inclusive and friendly.
We were kept informed by Sarah every step of the way, and very much treated like it was our home up for sale, not just a commodity.
The brochure details were completed very quickly and accurately, and we were particularly impressed with the photographs - and that the photographer would update the picture of the front of the house when a better shot was possible.
We had an entirely positive experience working with Breckon & Breckon and would have no hesitation in recommending them with five stars.

We had a long relationship with John Bouwer and the team at Breckon (Adam, Jonathan, Duncan)! We had what proved to be a difficult property to sell in Carterton and it took over three years, including one lost sale a day before exchange. It was a big and beautiful barn conversion with seven bedrooms, Grade ll listed, so not at all a typical Carterton house. The team kept us posted throughout and were regular visitors to the house, feeling in the end like extended family! They were as gutted as we were when the first sale fell through. We did receive an unrealistic valuation at the beginning and had to accept far less but there is no comparable property in Carterton. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Breckon & Breckon have been outstanding with our property sale. Worthy of special mention is John Bouwer who has been Exceptional with a capital E. He has gone above and beyond his normal terms of reference as a conduit between all parties displaying premium communication skills of the highest standards. He has worked tirelessly outside of normal working hours to ensure the smoothest path to completion. If there is an outstanding Estate agent award he should get it.
