I own a freehold terraced house in a managed estate,. I pay service charges to managing agent annually and attend AGM to raise our opinions on maintenance budget. When I sat in the AGM I queried the high budget for gardening maintenance where the gardening work only carried out in the remote apartment block area while there is no communal garden in my terraced houses area. Julian Harris of Novus Residential suddenly got mad with my query, may be he thought that I was trying to use this query as an excuse to avoid paying service charges. He then insulted me in front of all attendees of the AGM by saying I was wasting director's time. He ordered me to write to my freeholder (but I own a freehold house) or to look at my title deed or to consult my conveyancing solicitor to confirm that I am liable to pay service charges. In fact I have no indication nor intention to avoid paying service charges and have always paid in full. I was so shock at his madness. It was very unprofessional and aggressive of him. Most important of all, this managing agent is incompetent to manage Health and safety risks posed by individual household in the middle of the communal area. Although I asked Julian to help me with my children safety issue in our building he just didn’t care and ignored us. And also joanna was absolutely rude and aggressive in answering my phone call.
These people have no intention of selling properties. waste of time and energy. also mind the many fake positive reviews posted by new fake accounts, friends and family. do not bother and avoid at all cost!
Absolutely unprofessional agents. Poor handling of the move, really poor comunication, lack of knowledge about agents' responsibilities with regards to tenancy agreements. Not recommended.
Called up today spoke to Julian who as extremely rude, unhelpful and aggressive!! I had 1 question for him which he couldnt even help me with. Throughout the conversation all he did was slag off my plumber which is unacceptable as Julian has no clue about plumbing so who is he to judge?! He was complaining that its a saturday afternoon and why is he having this conversation with me? Then to top it off he deliberately hung up on me!! Terrible customer service absolutely shocked and disgusted!!!
There are so many reasons for my bad review regarding my experience. It started off very pleasant until I actually moved into my old flat managed by Novus. Julian the Director is an extremely aggressive, rude and pushy man. I would go as far as saying he is a utter bully. Even to the point where he verbally abused me. I definitely wouldn't recommend Novus.
Had the worst experience of all time with Julian. Rudest agent we've ever met. We just had a viewing with him for a flat to let. He was fine in the beginning but started acting angrily when we were asking questions about the flat, especially after I asked if it's possible to see the attic. How rude of me to ask to see part of the flat I'm planning to move in, right? Anyway, he still offered to show us the communal gardens involuntarily. We go out on the garden, he shows that we have a storage space in the garden, I asked if it's possible to see it and he became upset, grumbling about why I would need to see it. Finally, I asked if we could put a slide etc on the communal gardens for our son to play (and for other children) of course after consulting all the other residents. To our experience, we had asked the same question for 2 other flats with communal gardens, one said there's a strict policy against it but the other one said it could be ok if the other residents agreed to it. But he just raised & waved his arms in the air & walked away grumbling about us asking too many "silly" questions! This isn't acceptable behaviour for a human being let alone when doing your job. Awful! We called the agency to complain about him, the person we spoke on the phone nicely apologised to us and let us know that they will speak to him about it. So our complaint / review is actually about the individual that represents the agency.
