Good experience dealing with Joe and the team to sell our house on the Byewaters estate. Secured a price above our expectations and within a short timeframe, enabling us to get a good deal on what we bought. Open and honest communication with the team throughout and all at a rate lower than the rest of the competition. Not the usual corporate approach and better for it. Only query was the cost to market our property for which an invoice arrived, this quickly vanished when raised. Also bought our property through the Croxley branch and can't recommend them highly enough. Chris and Tyler did a fantastic job, very personable and professional. One word of advice however to Sewell & Gardner is not to recommend 'When You Move' as conveyancers, very inefficient and process driven, pushing items not within their standard process back on you.

House Sale well handled

Having dealt unsuccessfully with several other local agents I turned to Curchods to sell my property in Walton. The process was handled in a friendly and professional manner and my point of contact, Jake Woods was a pleasure to deal with, I would definitely recommend them as a first class agency.

I initially gave them one star as my husband and myself had not very pleasant experience with a couple of agents in their Kingston office (still left my initial comment at the end). However, they tried to make it right after we made an official complain to the director and our landlord. So I thought they deserve to get reviewed again after all the hard works they've made to resolve our problems. Michael, their Group Managing Director, is very genuine and trustworthy. He visited our place to investigate the issues all by himself and logged everything in details then he put all in action straight away. We were appointed with 2 new agents to look after our issues and they were very helpful and fairly fast in responses. It still took a couple of months to get most of things sorted but that was just because of the bookings with technicians. They were great with follow-ups and fast responses through out the whole process and we are very happy with our place now. They don't even deserve one star. The worst agent we've ever dealt with. Recently rented a flat through this agent in Kingston area but had to chase them up for over 2 months for a few issues as soon as we moved in but no one seems to care once they got the money. And there is no such contact/email details for official complain whatsoever on their website or anywhere. How sneaky. Hundreds of calls and emails. Lies after lies then no response. This is totally mis-selling. Maintenance promises on their contract is purely just a lie. Don't trust this agent. Avoid if you don't want to get tons of stress and ruin your new life plan.

Not really appropriate only had contact to discuss potential sale in king's road

Luke and staff always polite at the office in Whitstable. Not sure about the Herne Bay head office interference though - attitude problem certainly there and she took the 'personal' touch out of our sale! Would use an independant agent if ever buying or selling in Kent again.

Who why when follow up your calls

The whole process of selling my flat has been stressful from receiving an offer until completion. Whilst a lot of this is not directly down to Miles and Barr, the communication throughout the sale has been very poor. At the very start at the process, a member of team showed the prospective buyer around my flat and left it open without even checking if I was still in the building, which is very dangerous. Throughout the process communication generally was slow, and I was the one doing most of the chasing to push the sale through which I didn't appreciate as it added unnecessary stress to the process. Furthermore, I was promised dates for the completion of my sale in October, then November then December and it finally completed at the end of January. Communication did improve and the whole service seemed to improve once I threatened to pull the flat off the market and complain to the Head Office, which obviously I did not want to do.

Beware. Outrageous fees to stop services, completely out of proportion to monthly costs.Wanted over 6 months payments just to stop services, £100 to stop a £7 license. …

Tamar was one of the worst agents I have dealt with. Talked down at us and was with attitude. I have asked to remind us when the property was available she told me to look again at rightmove, as she can't remember as was too busy with other properties. Came to show property unprepaired, why to bother when there is such high demand for rental properties, will be taken anyway
