Awful estate agency, they were rude to me via email and then at the end of my tenancy they turned up at a later time rather than the booked time for a viewing despite telling me a different time via email. Unprofessional & rude, avoid at all costs!

Terrible! We had a viewing for today after lunch! In the morning I got a call from a woman who told me that they did not accept children in the property, terrible discrimination!!!! This is not an animal but a human being and nowhere in the ad did it say anything like that!!!!! Frustrated without children to throw away the child to take the house? Question for the terrible agency and landlord of such properties!!!!! What's bothering you children god this is a 17 month old child what can he do will he break your house 🤦⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⁉️

Please see my last email to so called “manager” Alex Hornsby. Arrogant not worthy person. Useless. The same as the owner of this company. I’ll attach my email to this review. Shared on Twitter, Facebook, Trustpilot in a case they’ll get it removed from here. All reviews are fake and forced on her to make them look good. They force people to do reviews and scamming them. Horrible company I had to call Witshirw police on. Accused me of stealing of second hand wash machine from a rank flat. I was forced to do a review too but now I am ready to tell the truth. Arrogant disgusting company. If the company respond , yes you’re reported to trading standards, I spoke to your so called managers (criminals) and yes you’re reported to property ombudsman.

Would give less stars if I could. The before sales process for Richard James was great but after we handed in our notice it felt like it became a mission of money. We had them trying to conduct viewings without giving us prior notice even when we told them we worked from home, this happened on more then one occasion and then I was ignored when I asked for further information on why the tried to do it again If you get a place from them, please also take lots of photos as we had them claiming there was missing bits when they hadn’t actually examined the property fully and took photos (the later went back and found the manuals). When we challenged this, we were ignored again, to the point we had to contact the landlords. We have now been told today on the day there meant to return the deposit they will now be deducted money for touch up on the walls but couldn’t tell us where they were referring to it as an issue as the check in report advised there was already some? Yes we touched up some areas but was only a couple of areas for the scrapes we had already made them aware of during inspection. It’s lucky we don’t need the money but they don’t seem to care when we speak to them about the amount of stress this has caused us. They then called my partner, and advised there would be money deducted and when said said he’ll talk to me the women said ‘good luck’. Professional. If you’re not fussed about money I would look for more smaller firms, as they probably will care more about treating you right then money. Very disappointed and feel like we dodged a bullet moving out and I can comfortably say when we buy a house, we won’t go through them.

Avoid avoid avoid... I used this agent for the property purchase in North Swindon area and I found them very rude and unprofessional. They have 15 year old intern to do the job of showing houses who doesn't even know how to converse with the customers. Extremely bad experience.

Richard James estate agents, failed to do the most basic checks on the property that I was purchasing, the lease had 26 years missing, advertising that the property had 137 years but only 111 years . The sale fell through as the owners pulled out of the sale. The whole buying process was a nightmare, I was lied to many times and kept getting emails and phone calls stating the I was falling behind with the sale off my current property which wasn’t the case . I was told that we was looking to complete on the 22nd off June and that if this didn’t happen by this date , then it would be in mid July. Again not true , I sold my place and moved back home with my parents thinking it would only be a week or two, But July came and went, I kept asking what’s going on as with the sale . The lady that was dealing with me was on leave and they had no record off the 22nd of June as a moving date , even tho I sent emails back to them showing the conversation, I explained to them that I am now homeless and why can’t the person living in my new place move out like I’ve had too , answer I was given was that , if you own a property then your not proceed able in renting, again more lies anyone can rent a property. The whole buying process was stressful and unpleasant experience, I even told them to leave me alone and stop ringing me and emailing me . Luckily I’ve found another property with Connells estate agent , and the experience is brilliant. So in summary Richard James left me homeless, Nearly two grand out of pocket in solicitors fees Stressed the hell out of me Lied to me many timesNegativeProfessionalism
