Today My husband and I visited a house in Didcot and were met by Jill and a colleague. Let me tell you that after two months of house hunting, I have never came across real estate agents with so much professionalism. Well dressed, smiling, so welcoming despite our late arrival. What stroke me was that for once I did not get someone telling me : "I don't know!" Both knew what they were talking about and made my husband and I dream! I wish all estate agents were like them. Loving their job! Sometime I wished that I would remind some of them that their job is to make you dream!!! And today that is what my husband and I got. Having never sold a house before I was extremely dubious of the part estate agents played in the process and had only ever heard negatives. In House sold our house from start to finish in 2 months. Their service was of the highest standard and I found all the staff extremely helpful and professional. They had a good knowledge of the area and a fresh, realistic approach. Thus we followed their advice and were successful in selling at a time when many houses seem to be sitting around.

Having sold our property in London, were looking to buy a house in the area. We must have spoken to most agents in the area and, despite the tough market, Ive been surprised that they dont try harder - or work smarter. When we do get a call from one of them, it seems as if they haven't even read their own notes. Except inHouse. They have only called us a few times, but each time with an interesting proposition. Sometimes the house wasnt exactly to our brief but Steve (the boss - its a small agency, but all the better for it) had thought it through and had ideas about how we might be able to make it work. We haven't bought anything yet but when we do, if it is one of Steves, Ill raise a silent cheer.
