Friendly-helpful However was surprised to meet buyers in my flat with keys with all their gear the day before any monies went into my account!

Thanks Caroline - I will pass on your comments to the St.Ives team so that are aware. Update on 26/0723... I have now investigated the situation you mentioned... Although it might appear unusual, completion is officially confirmed by the solicitors once the funds have been cleared into their account. It's not uncommon for clients to receive the funds on the next working day after completion is confirmed.
