I have had Thomas Morris as a letting agent for a little over 18 months and I would not recommend anyone rent a property managed by Thomas Morris. I was left with intermittent heating for 2 months with absolutely no heating for about 2 weeks. During this time the temperature in the bedroom dropped to 9 Celsius. I was not offered any compensation or any way to alleviate the problem (i.e. electric heater). Thomas Morris have also lost the management keys which meant I had to take time off work to let a contractor into the property. The property inspections are much more intrusive than any other letting agent I have dealt with. Upon moving out of the property I attended a pre-vacating meeting with their property inspector (which I had to take time off work to attend) which was meant to raise any issues that may need attention to allow for an easier final inspection. Several issues were then highlighted on the final inspection that were not mentioned at the pre-vacating meeting. I am glad to be out of the property and not have to deal with Thomas Morris again.

do not want to pay deposit back when the promised. they treat tenants like scum.no hot water or heating for 3 weeks in winter with a under 2 in property. had to move out because landlady selling. house is now sold. we still have no deposit paid back. you are talked down to, they only put landlord 1st.

Communication has been terrible, internal procedures mean you get passed around to different people constantly. As an overseas landlord you provide an awful service which is why I’m moving my property away from you.

Disgusting company. Takes the sides of landlords when tenancy has ended. They hold on to deposits for weeks with no good reason. They lie about if they are in the office to avoid phone calls. DO NOT use this company if you want your deposit back. Hiding behind nonsense “legalities” in order to deflect the blame from the fact they don’t want to give you your money back. HORRENDOUS.

Stay away from this agent and landlord - 9 Woodlands court St Ives

I have had the misfortune to rent 9 Woodlands Court. What a shocking experience.I found the flat had historic problems with mould that had been hidden from me. When I challenged the maintenance office headed up by Lisa Bargh I recieved a rude and unhelpful reply, I had signed the agreement so was threatened that there was no way to cancel. The tenants above (8) are noisy and dirty the gentleman defecated in the bush outside the front door.The fun really started when I gave my notice and vacated the property. It was spotless we took photos of everything. I received a phone call to my absolute shock £200 was getting deducted from my deposit for a very minimal amount of crumbs or dust in the drawers and the carpets not professionally cleaned (when I moved in there was a massive burn on the carpets and stains throughout) Lisa put the phone down on me as per her normal rude attitude that I received from her throughout the entire tenancy, the total cost has risen to £305 - stay away

6 month rental - 9 months hell - £1200 deposit still not returned

We rented 275 Ugg Mere Court Road, Ramsey Heights from Thomas Morris Property Management from June 2012.We had a terrible 6 months with initial problems with the property raised at check-in left unresolved for 6 months - oven door not closing, shower leaking on floor & garden when arrived was over 2 foot in weeds (took over 2 months for them to arrange a gardener to clear it).We had no choice but to stay in the property for the 6 months as this was what Thomas Morris Property Management contract stated.However after vacating the property as per our agreement in December we still have not received our £1200 deposit back nearly 3 months later we are chasing via the Tenancy Deposit Scheme.They have no regard for their tenants and only operate to please landlords and make profit.Avoid renting a property in St Neots, Ramsey, Huntingdon from Thomas Morris Property Management as you will live to regret it!If you want any information or facts about this please feel free to message me and I will share the correspondence, photos etc. with you.
