Although we were buyers and not vendors, we found the service provided by Belvoir was superb. Their video tour of the property was excellent and really enabled us to gain an understanding of the property both before buying it and subsequently prior to moving in. This is so far superior to other video tours which in some cases are purely a video consisting of still photographs. This facility really has to be a benefit to vendors. Nick Wilmott, the agent we dealt with, was extremely professional, but informal, and could not have done more to answer our questions either directly or asking the vendor for information. I have been with Belvoir for just about a year now. I was previously with Leaders. So far the difference in quality of service is remarkable. You only learn about how good a service is when things go wrong. Unfortunately I have had a few maintenance issues lately. Belvoir have gone out of their way to resolve these issues. They get involved with the investigation themselves whereas Leaders seem to just send a contractor in whose interest is to find something wrong and charge the highest price for putting it right. When I queried something with Belvoir it was properly investigated and my reading of the situation was found to be correct. Leaders always appeared to be defensive. Two years on I would say that, although everything hasn’t been perfect I generally consider that Belvoir try to look after my interests as a landlord but also want a fair deal for the tenant.
