For the last 4 years my house in Southampton has been rented out through Belvoir Letting Agency headed up by the extremely professional and personable Brian Linehan. When I decided to rent the house out through an agency the main reason was to pay somebody else not only to manage the rent and to find tenants but also to sort out all of the wear and tear problems that inevitably occur in any property.I had taken up a busy job as a doctor at the other end of the country and knew I needed to leave the house in capable hands, I can honestly say that during these 4 years Brian and Loretto and their friendly team have taken all of the stress out of renting a property. I found the periodic reports on the house very thorough and useful. Aside from the normative functions of the letting agency, that are run to a very high standard, Brian clearly has extensive and in-depth knowledge of the national property market. I sought his advice on Brexit and its potential effects on the the property market on a number of occasions. It was clear that his knowledge was expansive on this topic and I took his considered opinions seriously. His opinions carried more gravitas than most of the politicians we have all been subjected to. This year I asked Belvoir to sell the house as my circumstances have changed.
