Absolutely horrific experience at 23a Canterbury Road. Avoid it like the plague! After 4 months our bedroom was caked in damp/mould, causing severe damage to our bed, bedroom furniture and belongings. The solution: rip the carpet up, take off the skirting boards, clean it down, use some kind of primer, give it a paint, put new skirting boards in and fit new carpet. The issues are external through poor render and no sign of damp coursing! They told us that it would be fine, it hasn’t! The landlord doesn’t care about his tenants, or their belongings. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Quealy & Co clearly don’t care either as they are happy to put someone else through the same stressful ordeal by putting it back on the market without the correct work being undertaken. Many other people have contacted me privately to tell me about similar horror stories that they have experience in rental properties through Quealy. The rental staff are rude and dismissive until you lodge a formal complaint with the director. Even then, they don’t have your interests at heart. I honestly wouldn’t have even given them 1 star if Google permitted it!
