I strongly recommend not to use hunter estate agent and especially agent Anish Skula. He betrayed me while trying to buy property as my first home. He vanished when I spent a lot money for the property buying process and at last he showed tenants issues where the tenants were already left. So never trust this estate again and Mr Anish everyone 🙏🙏
Very poor service. They rented me a house with broken furniture and the new furniture provided was of very low quality. No curtains provided even though curtains were visible on photos shown. No Microwave provided even though rented as furnished. Carpet in the room was never professionally cleaned before we moved in. Dirt kept falling from chimney inside the living room and nothing was done about it for a year even though the issue was reported a few times. Hot water in the shower was also a problem which was never fully resolved.
Rubbish like any british letting agency. The process is always the same: 1) Advertise an overpriced "ruin" known as room or flat nowadays though edited pictures to make it look better than it is. 2)During the viewing dont forget to lie and conceal important information from the tenant. Remember they dont give a damn about you, they just want your money. 3) After the contract is secured make sure to ask for a couple of months rent in advance as a deposit. Yes people renting nowadays dont want a roof on their head. Deep down they want to vandalize your property. You got us!!! 4) Should any issues arise make sure to take a couple of weeks to reply. In the event that someone insists about a repair in the rented "ruin" make sure to use your super powers! SECTION 21 EVICTION notice. Why? Because you dared to ask for some decency in your "ruin". NOPE. You dont matter my friend. But your pocket does. 5)Make sure to deliver the final blow! Keep the whole deposit by blaming the tenant for everything that is wrong inside the "ruin". After all it your reward for your "hard work". 6) Last step. While the tenant is trying to move out make sure to harass them and stress them as much as possible. Once they are out of the "ruin" re- advertise the "ruin" BUT dont forget to list at least 200£ more expensive. After all the more its "value" increases so do the chances for it to collapse. BRAVO!
Horrible. My agent instantly struck me as a sleazy salesman type. After agreeing to rent the property (from psychopathic landlords, might I add), he sent me an email saying something along the lines of "I'll be assisiting you all the way up to your move-in date". That was the last I heard from him. When I came to the agency to pick up my keys, he was at his desk pretending to not see me. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
scammers avoid this agency. On 10th March I had a viewing of a house on Halford Road, Reading with agent Anish. During the viewing of this house I noticed that the fence on the left side in the garden was damaged and missing 2 segments of the fence. I asked Anish if it would be repaired he told me it would be done that day. My next comment regarding the condition of this house was a comment regarding the ceiling in one of the rooms where there was a bulge. I asked Anish if it would be repaired he said yes it would be done. My next comment regarding the condition of the house was the corridor downstairs where the wallpaper was torn and painted over on one wall. I asked Anish if I was repairing that too he told me yes. When it was enough to sign the lease I asked Anish if all my comments regarding the condition of the house had been repaired. He replied no and brazenly denies that he did not say anything like that that something would be done. Common scammers. Now I have a problem with them because they do not want to give me back the holding deposit. That's why I've already reported the whole situation to Citizens Advice Reading who told me they have no right to keep my deposit.
For everyone reading this Hunters is the rebranded version of Westgate students!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. I had the misfortune of renting an EXTREMELY overpriced, poorly ventilated 2 bedroom apartment on Erleigh road through Hunters (previously Westgate) from a landlord called Sunny who was incredibly rude and invasive towards myself and roommate during our one year lease. He entered the property I was renting a handful of times WITHOUT permission despite knowing two woman lived there alone and almost walked in on me showering. He also lingered outside my apartment door on several occasions and stated to my roommate I was “rude” because I expressed my discomfort in him constantly standing outside our door and refused to respond to his almost daily phone calls/messages. It got to the point where it was causing me extreme anxiety to speak with him and so I and my parents, informed Hunters (Westgate) of his unprofessionalism and they ignored all of our emails. Hunters (Westgate) agents also entered our property without 24 hours notice (as stated in every contract they provide) and I on more than one occasion, had to block entry to the door with physical items as they would attempt to come into the locked property despite not asking prior permission while I was there alone and being informed we did not approve of any viewings. If you’re looking for a student house in Reading do NOT go with Hunters (Westgate) or rent from Sunny unless you want to be constantly harrassed and wake up to your landlord or 4 random strangers in your bedroom at 8am.
0 stars if possible. Just so awful, had the worst renting experience with them - they used to be called Westgate now called Hunters. We had to take our landlord to court as we couldn't get our deposits back, they charged us for ridiculous things. The landlord fixed things really slowly, and arrived at night without notice. Also, house had mould hidden behind wardrobes. DO NOT USE
