I rented a property through them about 3 years ago, at that time they were known as Westgate, looks like they did a whole revamp of the place. I left a 1 star review about 2 years ago, explaining how their fees were ridiculous and they weren't that helpful given the fee I bloody paid. I got call from somebody at Westgate agency not too long ago, asking aggressively why I left such a poor review and what exactly was the issue. Thought that was very unprofessional and rude to call me at my workplace, I don't even know how they got hold of my phone number as I changed it when I moved out. Horrible experience. We arranged a view and it was confirmed via email. I appeared on date and time and I after 25 min past the scheduled time, in the rain, I called them and they said that the property had been rented already. They said they tried to call me once with no success. And that's it, they didn't sent a message or email or anything. They got what they wanted, so, who cares... Please avoid at all costs. This company will exploit the likes of students in particular and were rude, patronising and never replied to emails about problems with the property. We had builders come in unannounced with their own keys at times we were all out which left us very unsettled. They would make noise up until midnight and when we raised this issue it was batted aside like every other issue we had. When it came to checking out we were charged ridiculous amounts of money (£600 for blue tack being used on the wall) and when we requested invoices they weren't provided so in the end we just gave up and took what little we could of our deposit back. Again if you are a student in particular please avoid this company and look elsewhere to save yourself the hassle and grief I had to go through.

Fortunately for West gate there's only the option to give a 1 star rating, which is a shame because they deserve much less.
