Me and my partner viewed a property to let on the 15th Oct, we expressed our interest and asked for the application to proceed. We were sent the paperwork for the application the following day which we then spent the next 2 days (which was a weekend) filling in and sorting the guarantor. On the 18th which was a Sunday we by chance had another look at the house online only to see it was labelled as Let Agreed. My partner phoned on the Monday morning to find out what this was about as we were dropping off all the paperwork for the application later that day. The person he spoke to didn't have a clue as he worked in sales only so my partner phoned back a few hours later to speak to someone else who then said they had already let the house. We had no communication given to us that this had happened and find this very poor service from the agents. We don't mind losing out to others but all we ask for is honesty and communication. Regardless of any properties Northwood may advertise we will not return to them because of this. 1 star given but if I could give 0 I would.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
Worst Letting Agent i have ever used for my property. Was supposed to be fully managed, and they did next to nothing. A complete headache, rude and liars. The steady stream of idiots they put in my property cost me a fortune. Find a better agent.
went in to the office on Sat, the lady were very rude and bad attitude, I would say the company’s impression has been ruin by the way how she deals with customers, I would never recommend anyone to this company. A letting agent does not mean you have right to be rude ! We do understand checking the ID and immigrant status is very important, however the attitude is more important, the lady on the day was very rude, she thought she has power to talk people down as she can decide who she can rent the property to, you should check the CCTV, you can see how was her attitude when we just walked in , her facial impression was not friendly , arrogant and rude. the way she talked to us even our daughter can sense that she is rude. I believe no one can accept the attitude, no one! We dont understand why another letting agent in town can do professional jobs which see everyone is equal , no discrimination , to give us advised and we have our home now (which is happily received 6 months rent in advanced and satisfied reference , that was what we putting the offer to her)I would say I would never recommend anyone to your company , never ever !
Probably one of the worst companies I was every dealing with. They were not professional, so rude and not understandable at all. I will never recommend it to anyone!
Worst experience to date with a letting agency. Forced me to uproot my life and move without even giving the courtesy of a valid reason, after being a perfectly good tenant and never missing a rent payment. Will try and rip you off any way possible. Avoid at all costs
Unfortunetely we haven´t have very good experience with Northwood. They were difficult to comunicate with, some maintainance issues took ages to repair and some got never done. They just kept promising things and kept apologizing for delays but they were very quick with dedicating money off from the deposit on the end of our tenancy. We felt that we´ve been treated unfair, probably due to unexperienced and unproffessional agent.
Don't rent your property out with this lot as you will regret it. Lack of care, no service (you will be ignored) and your house will not be maintained and will be handed back in a dirty condition with damage that will not be repaired or correctly compensated. AVOID!!!
Terrible attitude to the customer I booked the viewing last week for today, 15:15 for property in St. Joseph's Court, Portsmouth. At 15:10 I called the agency to confirm that someone is coming and nobody forgot about the viewing - like it happens with other agencies. The conversation was: Me: Hello, I have a viewing...Just wanted to ask if somebody will be coming? The lady on the phone: It is not 15:15 yet. It shut my mouth, I would expect at least 'oh, my colleague is on her way'. Anyway, these are just my expectations. So, yes,the agent arrived right on time (very appreciated, first agent who came on time). But whats the point of coming if the agent...didnt have the key to enter the front door. She said, she thought she has them. She didnt. So she called another agent to check if tenant is in the flat to let us in. We were standing outside, in cold, waiting for an answer. It appeared that nobody is in the flat to let us in. The agent turned to us that in this situation she will have to reschedule the viewing! Are you kidding me? We took specially day off for this viewing, coming from another city, paying for our travel to get there and to be told that the agent, whose aim of the job was to enter and show us the house - may not enter the house for pre-booked viewing. So what is the sense of your work? Wasting not only our time but your time, your petrol and whats the most surprising for me - losing customer?
