I have been with Belvoir for over a decade, and in the last year, they have deteriorated into a fairly unprofessional outfit. Phone calls promised and never returned by the area manager. This is despite assurances from the branch staff that I would be contacted on the day in question. Quarterly inspection visits are not taking place as per my contract with them. However, Belvoir is more than happy to still charge for the agreed service. One repair took well over 20 days to rectify, resulting in more water damage and a ceiling to replace. Trusted trader that they used went on holiday and no back up over the New Year period. Suggested that I recompense my tenant for disruption which I ws going to do until I found out the full facts about the time that it had taken to complete the repair after it was first brought to the attention of Belvoir by my tenant. Repair reported on 28th December and repaired on the 25th January. Fortunately, they have now given compensation to my tenant. I will wait for a further working day for a response prior to taking my concerns to the 1st Tier Housing Tribunal as it appears to be my only option for any action. This review replaces my previous 5 star review.

Requested a rental valuation 3 days ago on their own website and got no reply- if they don't reply to landlord enquiries I couldn't have faith that they would reply to tenant enquires. I was going to use them because they are highly reviewed on Google, hence why I thought it was worth adding my experience with them (or lack of experience).

Dear Ms McCorkindale. I was a little surprised to receive this review as you have never used our service and are not known to us. The only Kirsty McCorkindale we have any record of is a person who applied, by email, to view 3 of our properties. This person was sent polite responses, by email, stating that the Landlords for these specific properties did not accept pets or housing benefit applicants. Each individual Landlord decides on the criteria for the tenant they want in their property and Belvoir must adhere to these criteria when arranging viewings of property.

Absoulte shambles of a company. Thought I had walked into a veterinary practise instead of a letting agency with dogs biting at your ankles. Completely unprofessional staff, huffing and sighing. Would NOT recommend.

This review was written by the relative (aunt) a prospective tenant who did not meet our strict referencing criteria and therefore could not be given a tenancy for the property she wanted. When this person visited Belvoir premises with the prospective tenant and they were informed that we could not proceed with the application this person used very bad language and was abusive to Belvoir staff. Eventually even the prospective tenant had to ask this person (her aunt) to leave the Belvoir premises. On occasion I do bring my dogs into the shop. However they are very good natured and friendly and DO NOT bite ankles. It would be professional suicide to have dangerous animals in an environment visited by the public on a daily basis.
