I have been with Belvoir for over a decade, and in the last year, they have deteriorated into a fairly unprofessional outfit. Phone calls promised and never returned by the area manager. This is despite assurances from the branch staff that I would be contacted on the day in question. Quarterly inspection visits are not taking place as per my contract with them. However, Belvoir is more than happy to still charge for the agreed service. One repair took well over 20 days to rectify, resulting in more water damage and a ceiling to replace. Trusted trader that they used went on holiday and no back up over the New Year period. Suggested that I recompense my tenant for disruption which I ws going to do until I found out the full facts about the time that it had taken to complete the repair after it was first brought to the attention of Belvoir by my tenant. Repair reported on 28th December and repaired on the 25th January. Fortunately, they have now given compensation to my tenant. I will wait for a further working day for a response prior to taking my concerns to the 1st Tier Housing Tribunal as it appears to be my only option for any action.
