Disgusting. We rented a property through this company and as we were students none of our complaints were taken seriously. We lived with damp, black mould and mould mites for over a year which affected our health nothing was done about this. Alongside this, communication was dreadful. Contractors would turn up without notice, and letting agents would tell us we had to be in the house as they were coming round and a lot of the time never turned up, meaning we were waiting around for nothing as they never communicated that these ‘appointments’ were no longer going ahead. I would warn anyone to stay away from letting houses through this agency.

Good afternoon, Unfortunately on this occasion you have reviewed the wrong branch of Lovelle as we do not manage student lets, however I have forwarded your concerns to the correct branch and their response is as follows- We are very sorry to hear about your experience and deeply regret any inconvenience you faced during your tenancy. Ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our tenants is our top priority, and we take complaints about property conditions, like damp and mould, extremely seriously. As a letting agency, we follow all necessary procedures and promptly report all issues to the landlord's preferred contractors. Unfortunately, we have no control over the contractors chosen by the landlord and their responsiveness. We will be providing this feedback to both the landlord and the contractor to ensure improvements are made. Regarding communication issues and the lack of notice for contractor visits, we understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been. We always ensure that contractors are aware that 24 hours notice should be given, and I apologise if they have not followed this procedure. Myself and the team are struggling to find any record of any interaction between yourself and our business. We are perplexed as to what the issue maybe? There are 15 Lovelle branches and we are all individually owned and we are separate franchise businesses. Please could you confirm that you have the correct Lovelle office? NEVER TURNED UP ON SITE

Dear Mr Storey I am sorry if there has been some confusion with regards to your appointment. I can confirm that you booked an appointment for our valuer to meet with you at your property. Our valuer did attend the appointment on the agreed day and time and waited for 20 mins. The valuer called the office to say there was no answer at your door. The office tried to call you on the number you provided and there was no answer. All of our calls are monitored and recorded and we have a log of the call.
