We take all reports regarding the condition of our managed properties seriously and work with landlords to address any maintenance issues that are brought to our attention during a tenancy. In relation to the deposit deduction, all deposits we manage are protected through MyDeposits, a government-approved tenancy deposit protection scheme. This means that if a tenant disagrees with any proposed deduction, they have the right to refer the matter to the independent dispute resolution service for a fair and impartial decision. Any deductions that are agreed are used solely to return the property to the condition it was in at the start of the tenancy, such as cleaning or repairs, and are not retained as profit by Mansons. As this relates to the specifics of an individual tenancy, it would not be appropriate for us to discuss or share the detailed photographic and written checkout report publicly to evidence why deductions will be made from the deposit.
