I moved out of my property 3 months ago, belviour decided to just stop communicating and having to escalate my follow up with the DPS. Hopefully this will finally prompt a response

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD! This company is absolutely shocking, in particularly Megan. Sending threatening emails to tenants yet do not have the courtesy of replying to any email correspondence. I will not go into too much detail as I await a formal response however, I doubt I will receive a response any time soon. Always told megan is not in the office and members of staff cover for her however, when I actually explain the complexity of the situation to a different member of staff, I get transferred to her straight away. Agreeing to let out a property without a valid EPC, and electrical certificates. DO NOT USE!

By far, the worst agency I’ve ever dealt with. The property managers never get back you. Any simple maintenance issue takes months to resolve. They will give you every excuse under the sun when you finally get through. Avoid at all costs. This is a loose loose situation. Your better spending a little bit more somewhere else.

I’m a student at the university of Manchester. My flatmate and I are renting a flat and Belvoir is our tenancy agency. Since the beginning, they say that they were going to do things but if we didn’t harass them, nothing was changing. Now I’m leaving the flat but I’m flatmate is staying so we found someone to take my room. Belvoir doesn’t want to give me my part of deposit back, saying that the new tenant should give me the money directly. I asked if I had a guarantee to make sure I’m going to receive my money, they said that they will let the new tenant sign the contract only when they have the proof i received the money. I spoke with the girl who’s going to take my room and obviously she doesn’t to pay me before she signs the contract (which I completely understand). So we contacted Belvoir few times to sort this out, we never had a clear answer, they were even avoiding the question. I really think it isn’t normal and should a true lack of professionalism. I don’t what to do now If someone reads this and had an idea/advice on how I can sort this out, I would really appreciate

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE!!! My sorry journey started with Belvoir last year. My flatmates & I were desperate for a flat in Manchester & saw one we really liked listed by belvoir. We saw there awful reviews (all 1-star or 5-star - I’m guessing the 5-star reviews aren’t genuine customers) but decided beggars can’t be choosers and went with belvoir. WHAT A MISTAKE! From day 1, they were a genuine nightmare. I hate the fact I have to give them a 1-star rating. They are genuinely the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. We moved into our apartment in a disgusting condition - the oven was completely broken, there was black mould in the kitchen & both bathrooms. Our property manager, Kash, admitted the property was in an unacceptable state when we collected keys, but then proceeded to ignore our calls and e-mails for over a month - when some problems were sorted. We went the full tenancy with mould in both bathrooms & kitchens as they refused to even acknowledge there was mould in the flat! Baffling. We eventually gave up on trying to contact Kash and accepted there may be a few problems with the apartment for the duration of our tenancy. When we moved out, we all attempted to contact the deposits manager at Belvoir (still nameless but repeatedly told they exist & we’re on lunch, ill today etc). After weeks of attempting contact (deposits should be returned within 2 weeks of moving out by law), we eventually receive contact from the company saying our flat was left in a bad state (it wasn’t) and we were to have over £100 each removed from our deposit. The chancers. We left the flat minted. No damage to the flat during our tenancy. Essentially they tried to steal £300 from us. The funny thing is, we actually found tenants for them for this year - our friends, who report the problems still remain and there’s been no money spent on the flat. They have now ignored us for over a month. We’re taking them to court. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
