We bought a house in Anerley, which Streets Ahead were marketing. We found out dealings with the estate agents to be fine, but they've spoilt our opinion of the company by refusing to collect their "SOLD" sign, from the front of our house. We've phoned several times and they keep fobbing us off, hoping we'll take the sign to the tip on their behalf.

Decent company to begin with although we had major problems trying to cancel our contract with them, maybe avoid these estate agents if you can but Davis Tate and Chancellors are still the worst estate agents to deal with.

My experience of buying property with karl tatler has been upsetting to say the least. They have no loyalty if you have not sold with them.Twice over the last 5 years .On the first property we offered on,we offered the full asking price to …

Hi Loretta, We’re very sorry to hear how disappointed you have been, particularly having missed out on two properties and having incurred solicitor costs. We completely understand how upsetting and frustrating that must have been. Unfortunately, I’m afraid this would be the case with any estate agent. Once an offer is accepted, we do put exclusivity in place and work towards progressing the sale, but ultimately, until contracts are exchanged, any party who has previously viewed the property is legally entitled to submit a formal offer. When this happens, we are legally obliged to advise our client, the vendor, of the offer. We will always make them aware that accepting a further offer is against our best advice, particularly where a sale is already well progressed. However, the vendor is our client and, if they choose to proceed with another offer, we are legally required to act on their instructions, whether we agree with their decision or not. In most cases, where a sale is well progressed, the vendor will choose to continue with the existing buyer. Unfortunately, this is more a consequence of the way the property buying and selling process works rather than an error or failing on the part of Karl Tatler. We are following the correct process and have done so throughout, but we are genuinely sorry that the outcome has left you feeling disappointed, particularly given the costs and inconvenience you have incurred. We appreciate this offers little comfort given your experience, but we would also like to reassure you that this process is not influenced by whether a buyer has sold their own property through Karl Tatler. The same process applies to all buyers. We’re very sorry that, on both occasions, the outcome has not been the one you had hoped for, and we wish you the very best for the future.

Don’t waste your time using Karl Tatlers, I had to give 1 star as I couldn’t leave any less. Don’t believe a word they say! Lead you up the garden path with false promises of sales & figures they can never achieve. Then when you see the light and ask to cancel there services they become as awkward & threatening as possible.

We're very sorry to read your review and disappointed to hear that you feel this was your experience with us, as it certainly isn't the level of service we aim to provide. We take great care when carrying out valuations and base our advice on extensive research, including comparable sales, current market conditions, property size, condition, location and buyer demand. We also discuss this evidence during our appointments so that clients understand how we arrive at our recommended asking price. Whilst property valuations are based on professional experience and market evidence, they are not an exact science, particularly in an area such as Wallasey where property styles, sizes and values can vary considerably. The market has also experienced significant fluctuations this year alone, influenced by changing interest rates and wider economic factors. It is never our intention to raise unrealistic expectations or, as you've suggested, ‘lead anyone up the garden path’. We pride ourselves on providing honest, evidence-based advice, even when it may not always be what a client was hoping to hear. As the market leader for property sales in Wallasey, New Brighton and across the Wirral, we believe our commitment to realistic pricing and honest guidance is reflected in our results. We're also sorry to hear your comments regarding the cancellation process. Having reviewed our records and listened back to the conversations, we cannot identify any threatening language, but we're sorry if this was your perception, as that would never reflect the standards we expect of our team. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please contact our Managing Director, Andrew Schofield, at andrew.schofield@karltatler.com. We wish you every success with your sale and thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

Viewed a house to rent a couple weeks ago the agent Jessica was lovely however after jumping through numerous hoops and being strung along four days before move in date they rejected the application even after passing the referencing section on my own and also then further adding a guarantor at the letting agents request. In addition they lost documents three times and I had to repeatedly send the same document at least four times to ensure my application had everything they needed. I think the fact they rejected my application four days before move in date is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable when I had been approved and everything had already been signed it is disgusting.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the outcome of your application with our Morriston lettings team. Whilst we are unable to discuss the specifics of any individual's application in a public forum, we would like to clarify that all tenancy applications are subject to an independent referencing process carried out by a specialist third-party provider. This process is in place to protect both our landlords and prospective tenants and forms an important part of the decision-making process. As with all applications, decisions can only be made once all required information and documentation has been received and fully assessed. Unfortunately, timelines can sometimes be affected by delays in obtaining the necessary information from the various parties involved. We appreciate that this can be frustrating when applicants are keen to secure a property, and we always endeavour to keep all parties informed throughout the process. We are pleased to hear your positive comments regarding Jessica, who consistently works hard to assist applicants and provide the highest level of customer service. We wish you all the best in your future property search. Kind regards, Laurence Morriston Lettings Manager

This company has extremely poor customer services and discriminates people based on their place of birth. This was reported to the police as a racist abuse and legal action will be taken. I strongly advise anyone to stay away from these people.
