We asked JLL to look for a tenant for our new apartment in the new Portrait development in Lewisham. As we prefer to manage the property ourselves, all we required was an introduction and carry out referencing etc. Although JLL can offer various packages up to a fully managed service, they were very flexible and were more than happy to work on an introduction only basis. Hayley arranged viewings and started marketing the flat as soon as she had a set of keys, and kept us informed of progress any how viewings went. After a couple of days we had an offer from a prospective tenant. JLL carried out the background checks and within a week we had the positive references back. Once we agreed to go ahead, JLL helped fine tune contract wording (as we used our own AST), and arranged to have the documents signed and witnessed ready for the move-in date. We met the tenant ourselves and carried out an inventory and check-in, and were delighted with the tenant JLL found for us. From start to finish, we were really pleased with JLL’s professionalism and local knowledge.
